Located on beautiful, spring fed, 350 acre Silver Lake in Wautoma. Great Lake for swimming, fishing and water sports. Conveniently located within 3 miles of restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and 2 golf courses. Just a 2 hour drive from Milwaukee.

Great family rental with beautiful beach frontage, plenty of shallow area for great swimming.

Fully equipped kitchen. Wifi and 3 smart TVs available. Washer and dryer onsite. Bed linens and bath towels provided.

Games, puzzles, sand toys, bags set, canoe, row boat and pedal boat available for guest use.

OUR RESERVATION CALENDAR WILL BE OPEN TO ACCOMMODATE NEXT SUMMER'S RENTALS EACH YEAR ON JULY 5th.

Beautiful Silver Lake

Well stocked and pleasant cottage on silver lake. All amenities that you need are provided. Water is crystal clear and sandy bottom for swimming.

Great family time

Thank you for a wonderful week with our kids and grandkids. The cottage was everything it said it would be plus so much more!! Everything was kid friendly and it included so many extras. The clear water and sandy bottom was an awesome place for toddlers to play and gain comfort with the water. The paddle boards, canoe and fishing boat were ideal for the adult kids. The fishing was great ... netting large crappies and bass! We hope to make this an annual family get together.

Perfect family getaway

We loved our stay at Silver Lake Retreat! Maureen was so accommodating and very responsive. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed- and more! The best part was the lake- the water is clear and the bottom sandy. Our little kids enjoyed playing in the sand and wading safely into the water. The water was shallow enough all the way to the end of the pier that we didn’t have to worry about the kids wearing life jackets when swimming. It was wonderful that we could keep an eye on the kids in the water right from the kitchen. This cabin is a little slice of heaven that our whole family enjoyed. Thank you Maureen for sharing with us!

Lovely Little Lake House

Very well organized cottage with a lovely view. The owners were great to work with! Note: bring your own drinking water as the well water is especially hard and iron saturated which is typical of many wells in the area.

Great Place

Our family had a great time here! The water was shallow enough that the younger kids could enjoy it, but paddle-boarding and fishing kept the teens and grown-ups happy too! Lots of games to play (good old fashioned checkers was out all week) and relaxing on the deck. Also, the walk from the deck to the water is short and even (no giant flight of stairs here!), which made it more accessible for the older members of our party. The owner was great and very responsive - thanks for a great vacation!

Fabulous family lake-cation

We booked this cottage, hoping for a fabulous beach area for our two toddlers (ages 5 & 3) to play in the water in a nice, shallow and sandy area. The owner told us that her cottage was a perfect fit for that goal. And as promised, this place delivered a perfect swimming experience for our girls. Clean, crystal clear water, sandy-bottomed swimming area at the cottage. The girls played on the provided Lilly/splash pad all day long. The adults enjoyed the paddle boards every day. We also got to see a spectacular fireworks show directly across the lake from us on July 3rd. We had a great cook-out on the 4th of July, with the option of using either the gas grill or charcoal grill available at the property. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. For a small cottage, the inside is laid out exceptionally well, maximizing space through excellent organization. Lots of activities for kids and adults included on the property. Thank you Maureen for the great week!

Perfect Family Getaway

We were so fortunate to find this gem on Silver Lake. This cottage is so cute and inviting. The location can't be beat. I loved my morning swims and my boys were very happy playing on the swim mat, with the paddle boat etc.. wonderful memories!

Lovely Beachfront Home, with all amenities and then some!

We had a great overall stay at the home on Silver Lake. The lake and the area are great, clean water. The sandy bottom and shallow nature was good for young children to swim. The house was nicely done, with tons of smart touches to maximize the space, including Vaulting all ceilings to make the place feel bigger. Everything worked, everything was easy, and we very much look forward to a future visit!

June 2020 Family Vacation

Our family had a great week! Everyone enjoyed swimming, fishing, and other water sports. The view of the lake from the house was spectacular.

Very nice property. No wake lake was a slight disappointment with the kids...go figure. In the end the no wake was not an issue and good time was had by all. There were a couple of irritations, the outside of the cabin could have been cleaner, we had to purchase LP for the gas grill and the motor on the small fishing boat did not work. Otherwise, I suggest booking the property. I am sure the property owners will make sure these are corrected.

just the right cottage feel

We were looking for a lake front cottage - for a trip to Big Silver Lake. I grew up visiting the area and wanted to return and reminisce. This was a darling place, well appointed and comfortable. The clear water makes every water activity fun. We enjoyed the firepit for s'mores, too. The drive isn't paved, but that didn't bother us. Delightful week.

Quaint cottage for simple relaxation

This cottage was a great match for the needs of our family of four with daughters in college and high school. We brought in our boat and enjoyed the lake, but Silver Lake Retreat has some of the best frontage on Silver to take in the lake without a boat. The bunk room was awesome to accommodate visiting friends. From the master bedroom we woke up to awesome views of the lake. The grassy area between the house and lake was perfect for yard games. I highly recommend!

We missed having a beach, but understand Mother Nature controls that. A few incendents, trim falling off front door, gas grill issues, leaking roof but owning a cabin of our own there is s lot of maintenance involved. I hope we helped keep the damage to the minimun keeping the wall dry etc... with leaking roof. Overall we had a pretty good week at your cottage. We are already thinking about July 2019 for renting this cottage again. Loved the personal touches and decorating.😍😀😁

Perfect location, wonderful owners, sandy warm water, beautiful home!

Owners have made their cottage truly a “home away” and answered every question promptly. The Lake views are great- wonderful during the day and beautiful sunsets. The cottage itself is well maintained with gorgeous vaulted ceilings and open concept living space. Home decorations are nicely done. The fire pit area is really nice and we leveraged both the gas and charcoal grills. Perfect place for family too. Great amenities. Air conditioners and fans were very helpful as we stayed when it was mid-90s. Ceiling fans are in every room. Water area was sandy, warm, and really clear. This is a true gem!!! Location is near grocery stores and good supper club. We loved it and totally appreciated how the owners made every effort to make our vacation at their home effortless and special.
