Had an awesome time staying at this beach house. Lovely place with a great view and quiet neighborhood. Even though the weather was cooler, cloudy and rainy it was great to hear the sounds of the ocean and relax while enjoying a few books. Liverpool was a great place to visit and eat out at Memories cafe and Lane Privateer Inn. Even enjoyed the pizza at Liverpool pizza. We also our visit to Crosby Garden center to see the sculpture gardens.
The home was clean and well maintained with a modern kitchen. A lot of beautiful paintings were displayed throughout the home.
Jennifer was quick to respond to any communications and thoughtfully stocked the house with many kitchen and beach items that we may have had to purchase or do without otherwise.
The location is as advertised with a great view of the bay but rocky shoreline. There are several beaches within a short drive.
Spent a week with my wife and three sons/girlfriends. The accommodations far exceeded our expectations. Jennifer has gone out her way to provide all the amenities you will need. Somerville beach Is 2kms away and Carters is 10kms and these are 2 of the best that NS has to offer. If your feeling for a more urban adventure Mahone Bay and Lunenburg are 45 minutes away. The house accommodated the 8 of us easy and we spent most of our evenings sitting on the deck enjoying the view and listening to the waves.
What an incredible property, straight from an interior decorating magazine. And anything you could ever need us provided. The only 2 things that would make it more.comfy ... a cantilever umbrella for the totally sundrenched deck facing the ocean and perhaps a second TV for the main floor. Especially if 2 families are sharing the unit. By far the best VRBO (and we've rented quite a few there as it's home) we've ever stayed at. Thank you!!!
Beautiful beachhouse, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Super comfy beds. Gorgeous views and soothing sounds of the surf. The owner takes great care and we highly recommend this spot!
This property is beautifully decorated and appointed. Good quality linens and towels. The view from the deck is breath taking....going to to sleep to the sound of the ocean is so calming! I really cant say enough about this beautiful house!

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer
My name is Jennifer, and I grew up along the pristine south shore of Nova Scotia. This home originally belonged to my great aunt and uncle for nearly forty years, and some of my fondest memories are of visiting them here on quiet Sunday afternoons. The ocean, the pace, and the sense of welcome have always been part of this place.
When the property came up for sale, it felt like a calling. With a deep respect for its history and a love for thoughtful design, I saw the opportunity to bring the house back to life; to restore it, reimagine it, and honour what it had always been meant to be. Every choice in the renovation was guided by memory, care, and a desire to preserve the spirit of the home while giving it new purpose.
Today, this house is shared in the same way it once was, with warmth, intention, and room to slow down and feel at home by the sea.
Why they chose this property
There are places that invite you to slow down, and this oceanfront Beach House in Hunts Point is one of them. Perched above the Atlantic, where the horizon stretches endlessly and the rhythm of the waves sets the pace of the day, this home offers more than a place to stay, it offers tranquility and peace of mind.
Morning begins with salt air drifting through open windows and the quiet comfort of knowing the ocean is right outside your door. Days unfold naturally here: long walks on untouched white-sand beaches, paddling along a calm shoreline, wandering forest trails, or simply sitting still and listening, to the wind, the water, yourself. The pace is unhurried, the surroundings grounding, and the sense of calm unmistakable.
As the light changes, the house becomes a sanctuary. Shared meals, laughter carried on the breeze, evenings gathered around the fire pit under a sky full of stars. Whether you come for solitude, connection, or a little of both, this is a place where time feels generous and moments feel meaningful.
Rooted in the quiet coastal community of Hunts Point, yet close to iconic South Shore beaches and local charm, this Beach House is an invitation to reconnect, with nature, with loved ones, and with the simple joy of being by the sea.
What makes this property unique
What makes this property unique isn’t just its oceanfront setting, it’s the feeling of tranquility that lives here. This is a home shaped by generations, where time has been allowed to move slowly and meaningfully. Sitting on the Atlantic, with uninterrupted views and the steady rhythm of the waves, the house offers a rare sense of presence and calm that’s hard to find and even harder to leave.
Unlike many rentals, this home was not designed as a commodity, but as a continuation of a family story. Carefully restored with intention and respect, every detail reflects a balance between coastal heritage and thoughtful modern comfort. The result is a space that feels both deeply rooted and quietly refined; comfortable, welcoming, and real.
Its location adds another layer of rarity. Tucked into the peaceful community of Hunts Point, you’re surrounded by untouched white-sand beaches, open ocean, and forest trails, yet still close to beloved local spots and South Shore landmarks. There’s privacy without isolation, beauty without spectacle, and space to reconnect without distraction.
Ultimately, what makes this property unique is that it offers more than a stay, it offers a sense of belonging. A place where mornings are unhurried, evenings are shared, and the ocean is not just something you see, but something you feel.
