Mountain hideaway in the city
This wonderful studio apartment is like a chalet in Los Angeles -- all wood inside, with high ceilings and a big stone fireplace. Nestled in the heart of Silver Lake, a very convenient location with restaurants, coffee shops, and stores minutes away, it nonetheless makes you feel like you are coming home to a quiet hideaway in the Alps. We really enjoyed staying here!
This studio is beautifully appointed and quiet. It makes for a very comfortable and peaceful stay. It is in a great location and is easy to get to downtown, Dodger Stadium or the beach.
The Lodge is wonderful and charming! So much thoughtful care has gone into its furnishings—comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, great bathroom, and a fantastic picnic table. Though you are only a few blocks from Sunset Boulevard, once back in the peaceful lodge you forget that you are in a busy, metropolitan city. We loved it there and slept very well!
Cozy and romantic while still great for hosting small family dinners
The property was exactly as described and we found it just as charming as we had hoped. The location was convenient and it was great that we could walk to a small grocery just five minutes or so away. It was cozy and sweet for our 28th wedding anniversary but dining areas (kitchen and patio) seated four, so we were about to host our two sons for meals. The patio was our favorite spot - kudos to the gardener. Thanks for everything - we loved our stay!
I had an excellent time. Giselle is a fantastic host. I hate to leave.
And would return to stay here again.
Highly recommended!

Lodge in Silver Lake
A lot of character to this place. Very hidden amongst the foliage from the street and quiet. The Al Fresco dining/relaxing area was quite nice. It's an easy walk down to the commercial area (several blocks), but quite steep coming back. No issue with street parking. Kitchen very Clean.

Charming & Comfortable!
We absolutely loved staying at The Lodge! The home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood just outside of LA and is surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. Although it may seem small, it definitely does not feel that way due to the layout of the home. The Lodge is super comfortable and has a really charming feel to it. Our favorite part was the backyard with the private patio and table! There is another home on the same property as the Lodge, but we were definitely secluded and had our privacy. Gisele was super kind and accommodating. She was responsive and provided us with all of the information we needed. I would definitely recommend The Lodge to anyone traveling in the LA area!

Charming rustic fully-equipped 1930s lodge in quiet Silver Lake location
We had stayed in the adjacent "Chateau" last year and wanted to return for a 10-day holiday. As the Chateau wasn't available for the first 3 days, we booked into the Lodge. It's smaller, with a completely different atmosphere, but still very enjoyable and up to Gisele's usual high standard.

Homey and Cozy and Perfect!
We had the most wonderful time staying at The Lodge for a week while we apartment-hunted for our own place in LA. The cottage was super homey and cozy, and our dog absolutely loved the little garden and patio. Everything we could need was thought of -- from toiletries to coffee. And the location is perfect, tucked away up in the Silver Lake hills, with easy street parking. The location is also walking distance to plenty of great food options and cute stores. Our host was communicative and welcoming. In short, it was a dream. We'll be recommending The Lodge to visiting family and friends in the future for sure!

I am a returning guest and, as always, this extremely unique quiet lodge is my favorite LA stay. There is absolutely nothing that is not provided,
the place is retro chic and charming.
Will of course be back soon!

Cozy Bungalow With Drawbacks
This property is in a great neighborhood, close to good restaurants and easy access to the city of LA. The bungalow is a bit too cozy and funky, with poor lighting -- if you like to read. The steps down to the property are dangerous, with plants jutting out and uneven cement. The VRBO ad does not mention the credit card service fee that the owner charges; one finds this fee when the owner will not agree to one renting unless that is paid. I have never encountered this before and it seems a bit greedy.

We were both busy during the day and it was nice to come home to this place at night. Internet was not always strong but aside from that I'd go back
