Sweet cottage with welcoming touches like fresh flowers and mint to put in our water. We loved the electric fireplace, since it was quite cool while we there, and we used the space heaters to warm up the bedrooms in the morning (before getting out of our cozy beds!). Great location close to the National Park entrance.

Relax and Explore near Volcanoes National Park

The Pineapple House is situated just outside Volcanoes National Park to provide the space you need from crowds and allow you easy access to the park for hiking or stargazing at night. The house is well stocked with everything for cooking your own meals, family game night, and sleeping well after a day exploring the park.

Quiet cottage close to park

This was a great location near Volcano National Park! It was tucked away and very quiet. The hosts were so kind to leave fresh fruit and flowers for our arrival. The house is set up well and has everything you need. Thanks for a great stay!

The coziest stay!

We loved our stay here! It was the perfect location for visiting Volcanoes National Park. The cottage was very private and the yard and trees around were beautiful. We had everything we needed and more when visiting this beautiful island! We would definitely choose this place again.

The grounds are beautiful and the hale is a little old but we really loved staying there. The hosts were very kind and communicative. The fresh fruit and fresh flowers were the perfect touch! For a family of four, we'd stay here again.

The location and views are absolutely spectacular, and the lanai was one of our favorite parts of the stay. The kitchen was also very well stocked, which made cooking easy and enjoyable. Even though there is no A/C, the ocean breeze and lower floor kept it pleasant. Overall, this is a beautiful condo with incredible potential. That said, the unit feels overdue for updates. Much of the condo appears unchanged for 15–20 years, with dated furnishings throughout. The wicker furniture especially felt tired and uncomfortable — I understand the Hawaiian aesthetic, but some of these pieces are past their prime. The mattresses were also extremely firm, which may not suit many guests.The cleaning was adequate on the surface, but the condo would really benefit from a thorough deep clean and refresh.With some updated furnishings, newer mattresses, and a little more attention to maintenance and cleaning, this property could easily be a 10/10 experience.

A little corner of paradise

Fresh cut flowers in vases on every table greeted us. The house was immaculate; the lawn looked like it was in a fight with the local fauna. (We saw some very cute wild pigs.) The kitchen was well stocked. We were pleased with every aspect of the home and our stay.

Quiet and comfortable little cottage. It's a good 15-20 minutes away from the National Park and the "village" of Volcano, but if you don't mind that kind of drive it's a great place to get away from the National Park crowds!

Perfect little cottage for staying near volcanoes

If i could give more stars i would. Had everything we needed and you could tell that alot of thought and care had gone into setting up and maintaining this cottage. The owner was extraordinarily helpful and gave us tips about where to go and what to do in our short time on big island. If i ever go back this will be my number one choice for lodging.!

very well appointed. Lots and lots of beautiful real flowers in cottage! We didn't see instructions to turn on hot water heater in cottage info book. Breaker box was right by front door but we didn't notice it when we checked in. Property Mgr thought it was in book so I apologize if we just missed it. Anyway, great hot shower after water heater was turned on ! beautiful landscaping.

The place is very close to volcano national park. The property manager was very cordial .

This small cottage is very cute . The location of the property is excellent. The property owner was really nice . I mentioned to her that I needed a weighing scale and she left it for me on the porch . Only problem was that there was no dishwasher or washer and dryer in the property. The closest laundromat hours are limited . So we had to carry a bag full of dirty clothes with us to Maui our next destination. But it’s a beauty in the jungle 🤪

Very accomodating! The person in charge of this vacation home is very thoughtful and goes beyond expectations to make the home comfortable for us. It is definitely worth the price (considering it is inexpensive). Downside is that it may be a little difficult to find the property.
