Had a great time staying here!! Enjoyed fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming and watching all the wildlife—especially the birds!! Had ages from 11 to 70 and no one was bored!!! The house was exactly as described and the owners thought of everything you could possibly need while on vacation. Great place to relax with family/friends.

Magic on the Lake

What can I say besides we wish our vacation didn't have to end?! The property and lake were gorgeous. The house was clean and cozy with all of the needed ammenities. The woods were so fun to explore. We're already planning our next trip back. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this house because we felt right at home here and are beyond appreciative of the host family.

Everything we needed and more

We have always been Beach people but after a week at the Lake I think we have been converted. Everything was perfect! We were literally able to arrive and jump in. Everything was perfect. From fresh linens that were provided and towels down to a bar of soap (because we forgot one). The rafts and row boat and dock were everything we hoped for. Ben answered emails within minutes with answers to any questions we had. As soon as we have a week picked out for next year this will be our first choice!

A perfect summer getaway

Ben's property is the perfect summer getaway if you are looking for a quiet and relaxed experience. The cabin itself is very beautiful. It is only about three years old and still has the new pine smell. The cabin is sparkling clean, well-stocked with the basic amenities, and decorated with simple but lovely ocean-themed touches. Our teens and adults enjoyed fishing every day and kayaking off the dock on the peaceful lake. There is a screened-in porch on the front of the cabin so that you can sit outside and watch your children play in the lake. The area is remote; go shopping and bring in your supplies before you come to the cabin. There is a Dollar Store close by if you run out of things. We hope to visit this cabin again in the future.

It's a beautiful home on Black Lake with loads of opportunity for family fun

We had lots of fun. Fishing off the dock, kayaking, playing scrabble and Uno, cooking meals together and family tournaments made this a wonderful choice. Our 10 and 11 year old grand-kids were just the right age to learn to kayak, catch fish and to jump off the dock. It was quite hot when we were there but there were lots of fans to keep the air moving. We really enjoyed the picnic table on the screen porch.

Perfect getaway

Our group had a blast staying here in August! There is something to do for everyone, kayaking, boating, fishing or just taking in the scenery. The house is beautiful and well taken care of. They had anything you could need available for their guests. We just got home and are already hoping to rent for next year !

A must place to stay for any type getaway you want. Beyond clean, enormous focus on quality, grade A, most memorable place you will enjoy. You will find it hard not to relax, enjoy the view, true waterfront home. They thought of everything to make your stay an historical event. Great place to bring the wife an kids, fishing buddies, or just need to get away. Kids can fish of the dock with easy success. Can’t wait to be back.
