Popular Attractions
Fredericksburg
Founded in 1846 by German immigrants, Fredericksburg has retained much of its German history, with many of the older buildings keeping their original German styles. The town boasts a rich history, - including Fort Martin Scott, Pioneer Museum Complex and the Lyndon B. Johnson State and National Historical Parks - a booming shopping scene, known as Magic Mile (with over 150 shops, including antique retailers, candy shops and boutiques), an ever-growing art scene and an amazing central location to Texas's blossoming wine industry.

Stonehenge II
Originally erected for fun by two locals residents, Stonehenge II is 90% as wide as the original and 60% high. It has recently been relocated to the grounds of the Hill Country Arts Foundation along with two 13-ft. tall Easter Island heads and is well worth a visit.

Boerne
Boerne is home to four major attractions. The acclaimed Cibolo Nature Center with it's four distinct eco systems is popular for birding, hiking and exploring. Enchanted Springs Ranch is a Wild West Theme Park with exotic animals and an Old Western town. And there are two natural living caves- Cave Without A Name and Cascade Caverns.

A long way from Fredericksburg...

This property was a long way from Fredericksburg, which caused a lot of problems for our weekend there. My girlfriend was very concerned about being far from medical facilities and there was no transportation into Fredericksburg, which was what we expected when we booked. Also, we booked the place because of a pool and hot tub. The hot tub was not available and the pool closed at 10. Hard to use if you have to drive an hour back to the property from Fredericksburg.

A Gem

For my first time visiting Fredericksburg, I didn't realize the distance between Hunt and Fredericksburg until we started driving to the resort. I’m happy to say it was a beautiful drive and even more beautiful property. It was a last minute getaway weekend for my husband and I and this area was perfect.

Wonderful, beautiful.....but

99% of the staff here are absolutely wonderful. It only takes one to get you frustrated and disappointed. The first night we were here, the AC did not work in the room. They did attempt to fix, but were unsuccessful. They offered us another room for the night, we declined so we could relax where we were (after a long drive and 10pm). The weather was cool enough where it wasn’t terrible. The next morning after breakfast, (make sure you bring your own food because the nearest grocery store is 25 miles away and the entire city of Kerrville local restaurants and grocery store shuts down at 8 PM. So plan accordingly)I was blessed with a lukewarm at best shower, very little hot water. It was extremely disappointing because the Murphy bed that you sleep in is not the most comfortable. Think of sleeping on plywood. Maybe we are spoiled because we sleep on a Purple mattress, which is amazingly comfortable. The hot water was never repaired during our stay. Every run in with the staff was very good, except for one. Out of the 3 ladies at the front desk, since we locked our key in the room on the way to the beautiful pool area, 2 were understanding, kind and helpful. One was not at all and actually kind of bitchy. Since our AC was out the night before, we were very recognizable. The third of the ladies at the front desk seemed to want to be difficult. This was the only encounter that was negative. Everyone else was very fun and helpful during the trip. We definitely would give this five stars all the way across if it wasn’t for that one encounter.

Loved it!

Everything went super smoothly and everyone was helpful as well. The only complaint was how loud the neighbors were.

Lovely Labor Day Weekend.

We enjoyed ourselves. We were pleased that the Murphy bed was comfortable. We were worried about that. We wish the pool would not have closed at 5:00 so we could enjoy the lovely Texas hill country nights, but we just pulled our patio furniture onto the lawn and enjoyed it from the privacy of the yard.
