a very cute clean little cottage in a quiet neighborhood that felt very safe. it was mostly comfortable. we had our own pillows so no comment on theirs but the bed was very comfortable. the kitchen is quite small, no stove for cooking but there was a one burner bottled propane camping stove; a microwave; an older toaster oven; an apartment size frig without a freezer; and a kuerig coffeemaker.i do have a few suggestions...get rid of the camping one burner cooking device and toaster oven; replace the frig with one that has a freezer; get rid of the futon and replace with a small couch (we spent most of our time in this small space off of the bedroom); add kitchen towels, dish cloths, and pot holders to the kitchen. what i liked most was the shower, least was the kitchen but i knew what we were getting when i booked the place.we appreciated Charles as he kept in touch. it is pet-friendly. i would stay here again and hope the suggestions i've given are considered. i felt the price was reasonable, my husband did not because we really couldn't cook unless you wanted to eat microwavable food.

Thank you for your suggestions and review. In the past we have been rented by very short stay guests. The kitchen set up has been good for them. As we see an increase in longer stays, we will make some updates. We do own several restaurants in our town so would hate to make it too convenient to cook at home.:)

The Host didn’t communicate that he had a second driveway entrance. He only gave us instructions for one driveway entrance into the rental home. We asked if he had ample space to turnaround and park a truck and boat trailer. He said yes there was ample space. However, that was not accurate. We pulled into the driveway and couldn’t turn the truck and boat around without driving over his plants, bushes and shrubs. It was way too tight to turn around a 20’ bass boat and a crew cab truck. We had to back out of the driveway and it is steep. I couldn’t angle the trailer due to his mailbox location right beside the driveway. So the bottom of our outboard motor had to drag in the road and it damaged the lower unit. We also busted a tire on the trailer trying to back around the curbing. The Host failed knew we were bringing a boat and failed to mention the driveway continued around the front of the house out to a different street and that we could park in the driveway. It was 10pm when we got there and dark. We couldn’t see any additional entrance (and we are not sure that’s even true as it doesn’t show on Google Maps. We couldn’t stay since we couldn’t leave the boat on the side of the road. We had to get an expensive last minute hotel room for two nights. The Host was very difficult to deal with trying to get a refund. He clearly didn’t communicate to us about the second drive entrance (if it’s even true) and that could have prevented everything that happened.

I have been renting my guest house since 2017. I have had several guests with boats that figured out how to park the boat in the 4 parking spaces provided. I guess they were just better drivers. I would not have any reason to tell guests about the driveway going through to another entrance as I did not think it would be needed as others have always made it work. I hate that this did not work out for this guest. My reviews over my almost 10 years have been very good.
