Summers at the lake-it's as American as apple pie and the Fourth of July. Bring back fond memories of summers past by visiting your resort at Clear Lake. An eutropic lake-meaning its waters are warm and full of life-the lake is the largest natural freshwater lake within California's borders.

Among the tules, willows, cottonwoods and oaks, you're likely to find a paradise you thought had long since vanished. With the Bartlett Mountains as a backdrop and a beautiful turn-of-the-century, mission-style lodge as its centerpiece, the resort recalls the rural California that Mark Twain found so endearing.

No doubt, you'll want to wet a line during your vacation. But once you've released your scaly friends, try hiking, birding, bicycling, golfing you get the picture. Also, check out Crazy Creek soaring glider rides in Middletown. There's plenty to do-or not do-while at Clear Lake. You may just want to slather on the sunscreen, put your feet in the water, lay back and soak up the experience.

love Clearlake

It was the first time for our family at Clearlake and I am happy to have this place because it looks like the whole area has been going in declined... unfortunately for the locals that it is not as many people as other vacations places but we make it work. The resort was great, with lots activities to do and beautiful views of the lake...I will recommend this place.

Fun family getaway

Fun getaway with our family for a couple nights. Weather was insanely hot but we enjoyed the pool and lake. Large unit with plenty of space to hang out. Very thankful for the AC. Would have loved to have more activities nearby.

An oasis

Finding a great rental in Lake County can be challenging. After finding this place, I no longer have to look for hours for a good place to rent. This condo was excellent, and offered all the comforts of home. The owner was incredibly helpful in answering my questions. I couldn't be happier with this VRBO and look forward to staying there again and again.

Wonderful place for kids

We loved staying at the property. I have 4 children ranging between 13 and 2 years old. They loved the pool, paddle boarding in the lake, playing billiards, playing horseshoes, and playing on the playground. They all had fun. It is a beautiful setting. The condo is spacious and very clean. Would love to stay here again.

Fun stay at ClearLake

Likely the nicest resort/stay on that side of the lake. Possibly around the entire lake.. Perfect for a little family getaway. Pool, jacuzzi, 24hr friendly front desk, towels for the pool, game room for kids plus outdoor play structures/games.. pool table and DVDs. Did not use the gum but looked nice too. Spacious unit with air con. Fully equipped kitchen. Enjoyed our stay and would go back again. Not related to the accommodation but the whether was super hot (100F), and with the low lake level, there were a lots of rice flies. Not great but they do not bite and are the primary food stock for birds and other wild life which abound in the area. Better than mosquitos or bees. Understand it is only a few days a years.. so might just have been that time of the year. Best to have a boat to get to some clearer water in the middle, east side of the lake as the shores have a lot of algaes. Disney boat rental is great, and totally worth it if you want to fully enjoy being near a lake.

Quiet Lake Getaway

Perfect lake/fishing/birdwatching getaway. Jan was prompt and awesome with communication, and our kids loved the pool, game room and other facilities. Among the condos on this property, this condo was closest to the water and the most quiet which we really appreciated. The small towns around Clear Lake have played big roles in California history and there are wonderful restaurants too. Check out the Lakeport Courthouse Museum, and also the revitalized menu at The Boathouse Bar and Grill with many American and Filipino food classics.

Great

Property was great, right on the lake, lots of amenities at the property (most closed due to covid but pool was heated and available) and the rental was perfect, big beautiful comfy king bed with nice bathrooms upstairs and down. Grill and porch seating was an added bonus which we really enjoyed. Would definitely stay again.

Do Not Stay Here during COVID

Unfortunately, we booked this vacation and were not told prior that the children's pool and hot tub were completely closed during COVID and the pool was "reservation only," and was completely booked when we arrived. Imagine your 3-year old being quarantined for months on end, this being your first time leaving the house, to drive hours away to arrive on vacation and be told we can't use the pool. The one reason we came there. In addition, the lake is full of algae and not recommended for swimming. The town frequently had a raw sewage smell. The unit was nice and clean, minus the towels and trash under the twin beds, and lacking some items (shower curtain?! coffee filter, etc.) I contacted the property manager about my stay upon return, and she stopped responding to me after my last two attempts. Because the notification about pool reservations went out a couple of weeks before my stay but was not communicated to us as the guests, it seemed the withholding of information was intentional. In the only response, the property manager referenced an "attachment" that was sent *after* booking, which I have yet to see. Incredibly frustrating.
