Neat, clean, updated - a bit bumpy on reserving and checking in though
The property was as shown in the photos. Very clean, updated. The ceiling going into the bed area and the kitchen is low - I'm 5'6" and I had to remember to duck... so take note of that in the description. The owner is very sweet, but still not very knowledgeable about renting out the place. I didn't receive any directions on how to get to the house, and if you don't have data on your phone or a navigation system... plan ahead on how to get there. I wasn't told where to park... I just guessed. When I arrived close to midnight I circled the block a few times and finally parked in the street and walked up to the houses to read the house number. There were no lights on at her house, not even the porch light. I had to search a bit for the lock box as it was on the front porch, not on the side entry door. The directions she gave me on how to get the key out of the lock box were confusing and took 3-4 tries to get it open, and only after reading the instructions inside the cover of the box - which you had to know about also (a bit like an escape room challenge). The stairs are steep on entry, but very pleasant space. I didn't use the kitchen at all, but it looked clean and nice. It was nice to have a hair dryer available to use, however there is very little counter space in the bathroom, I found myself piling things in the sink. A small table or shelves would have been convenient. It also would have been nice to have a bedside lamp and a place to charge my phone by the bed. Kind of forces you to get out of bed to turn the alarm off though. Masi was very nice and checked on me during my stay to make sure I had everything. However, she is still learning the ropes with CanadaStays. When I asked to extend my stay, she didn't know how to get that done and it took a couple of days. This place has great potential, just needs some smoothing around the edges which will come with experience. If you don't mind the ceiling height and need a kitchen, it'd be a nice place to stay.
Great location, lovely little apartment
We loved staying in this little apartment - it was perfectly suited for us (two adults, one six year old). The location is amazing - walking distance to the GO train for access to downtown Toronto, and the apartment is beautifully finished and was sparkling clean. The owner was lovely to deal with, and we had a wonderful stay overall. The ceilings are low, but this didn't cause problems - and our six year old thought it was the best house she's ever been to! A great deal for a great place. We would definitely book again.
I was in Toronto for a week of work, after which I wanted to spend a day exploring the city. I rented this cute little place and on Saturday morning, the owner accompanied me downtown to show me the bus/train route, then walked me over to the AGO museum and picked up a train map for me so that I could navigate my way home. She goes above and beyond to make you comfortable!
Loved this home!
Masi was very helpful and the house was so clean!
This property was incredible! It checked off all of our boxes, and even the boxes we didn't anticipate. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and I would stay there again next time I'm in the area.
The accommodations as well as the host were exceptional. In fact, the pictures don’t do justice to the place. It’s an entire lower level complete with kitchen, bathroom facilities, and even a washer and dryer if needed! Not only that, but the kitchen has amenities for cooking as well as complimentary tea and coffee. Masi was as gracious as she was accommodating and I couldn’t be happier with the stay. Also, in regards to the ceiling, it is low, but at 6’ I only had to duck for the bedroom entryway and then could stand straight up once inside/outside and was able to stand straight everywhere else. Was truly an outstanding experience. Thanks for everything Masi! Keep up the great work! Highly recommended.
