This absolutely gorgeous Log Cabin Lodge is great for that special family get together or for a romantic getaway with that special person. The four bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths accommodate up to 12 persons comfortably. The spacious kitchen, dining area, and family room allows plenty of room for family gatherings. The Cabin is equipped with two laundry facilities for convenient laundering. The basement provides a bonus room finished as a large family room, and equipped with a bar and a bumper pool table.

The porch, which wraps 360 degrees around the Cabin, offers a spectacular view of 10 miles of the Ohio River. Enjoy watching boats and barges navigating the river, deer and wildlife wandering in the woods, and even an occasional airplane landing on the river. Facing the river, the porch offers a sunset bar to sit at, sip a drink and enjoy the gorgeous view.

Located in the gorgeous horse country of Kentucky, this Cabin is secluded, but within 20 minutes of the large Florence Mall in Florence, Kentucky, 40 minutes of Downtown Cincinnati, and 35 minutes from the Creation Museum and the Arc Encounter, 25 minutes of the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Beautiful Spot!

Had a great one night stay, beautiful sunset view and enjoyed watching the barges go down the river. Perfect place for a family to stay for a weekend or week getaway for some R&R or family fun

Short Getaway

We only stayed for 2 nights and were not in the cabin very much mostly just to sleep. The kitchen looked fully stoked if cooking while there. I will say if you have more than a few people the floors make a lot of noise making the lower level harder to sleep in if you are a light sleeper. The amenities do list hair dryer, but only one for 3 full baths so be prepared if large crowd. The view from the porch of the Ohio River was beautiful

Beautiful home and location!

The sunsets were beautiful off the deck! Plenty of space for vacationing with our young adult children. We all loved the home, the wildlife, and watching the river. We enjoyed the Ark Encounter and the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum, they were both excellent! Great communication from Barry.

Nice cabin

Could have been a little cleaner in some areas and air was set to 80 so we arrived at 4pm but at 1030pm it was still 78 degrees in the cabin. Had a small problem with hot water but Barry was responsive and came out that night to fix the problem. Overall, nice cabin and we had a good time.

Great property in a beautiful location

We were in the area to visit the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and Cincinnati Zoo. The location is remote and surrounded by nature, but close enough to visit all three attractions. We loved the log cabin feel and view of the river (could have spent all day watching the barges). Host was very responsive to questions both before and during the visit. Kitchen had all the glasses, plates, utensils, etc that we needed and there were abundant towels, sheets, etc. for the bedding. Property is large enough for a big family or multiple families, but with enough separate spaces for privacy. For light sleepers, it's worth noting that you do hear movement and flexing floors on the levels above you.

Great views!

Our family had a great time and enjoyed our stay! The cabin was cozy, had great views of the Ohio River and was conveniently located between the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. The home had everything we needed and was well stocked for cooking and the beds were comfortable. The finished basement and pool table was definitely a bonus! The road to get there and the driveway are a little steep, but other than that everything was great! The hosts were very responsive to questions. We did experience rain while we were there and there was a leak in the living room that we had to keep cleaning up, but the owner indicated he was aware and waiting for a roofer to come. I do agree with other reviews that the floors are quite creaky and sound travels between levels! Overall we had a great time and would recommend!

Refreshing

We, and our two adult children and their "significant others", really needed some time away together. The Jolly Cabin was less than 2 hours away. The setting provided for quality time together in the quiet of nature, yet close enough for quick outings to the Ark Encounter and parks. We had one spectacular sunset that will live in our memory banks for a long while. The check-in process was the only challenge. But we were arriving with 15-20 minutes of daylight left, in a thunderstorm. So thankful that we were able to reach the owners, find a solution, and hopefully identify what needs to be fixed for the next arrivals. Thank you for your hospitality!

Family yearly reunion

This home was perfect for our family and had more bathrooms and space than we had even anticipated. My parents had their own bedroom/bathroom on the main floor, my sister and husband had the second bedroom with its own bathroom in the lower floor and my husband and I also had our own bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor. My 25 year old son had his own room and my nephews had a room which had two beds. They shared a bathroom on the main floor. Plenty of room for us to sleep and spread out. My son and nephews spend quite a bit of time in the lower level playing poker, bumper pool and my son brought video games- this was their hang out room. The rest of us spent a lot of time on the huge porch just soaking up the view of the Ohio River and the many barges that come by. The kitchen is fully stocked and we ate every meal at the house except one for the week. The location and neighbor area is very safe and quiet. We went to the Ark which was 40 mins away, kayaking in caves which was an hour and half away and to the Wright Patterson Airforce base which was amazing and free! There was also two laundry areas at the house so you can pack light. We enjoyed our family time in this beautiful home!

Amazing Views, Great Location, Everything you need and more!

I care for an elderly man and I planned this trip (along with another caregiver) so that we could take our "friend" to see The Ark, The Creation Museum and Cincinnati. Even though the home was way bigger than what we needed or used, It was a safe place for an elderly man with limitations to maneuver around in. The entry off the main level (second driveway) allowed him to enter without having to use the stairs. The master suite bathroom had a walk in shower and room for him to move around in as well. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows for him to use. The furniture offered him a place to relax, put his feet up and nap. The kitchen, dining area and living room were roomy and had plenty of seating. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of clean towels under the sinks. There were extra blankets and pillows to use if needed in the closets up stairs. We did not even utilize the basement because we didn't need to but it would be a great space for overflow and maybe a place for the kids to hang out. Check in was easy and Barry was there with any questions we had along the way. The location of this cabin is almost in the middle of everything. We traveled to The Ark one day, The Creation Museum another day and visited Cincinnati 2 nights for dinner. We even rode the Skystar (Ferris Wheel in Downtown Cincinnati) and hopped on the horse and carriage for a 20 minute tour of the town. I would recommend this cabin to seniors, families with children, couples coming together for an Adult Weekend or a Girls weekend.

This place is definitely remote, but in the best way possible. The closest grocery store is about 20 minutes away. The property has neighbors close by, but the surrounding trees provide privacy. The road getting here is narrow with a few sharp curves, so pay attention to the speed limit. The deck that wraps around the house was great for all of us to relax and enjoy the view of the river. Overall, the area is peaceful and quiet. The lodge itself is VERY baby friendly. There were baby gates and a high-chair to use. Cleanliness could have been better, but it was not something that would stop me from staying again. You can hear people walking on the floor above you, but it was not super loud (and never woke anyone up). Overall, everyone had a good time and enjoyed the stay. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

House was perfect for our group of friends. Very spacious home that slept everyone comfortably. Plenty of amenities that anyone would need. Relaxing on porch looking over river during morning and the evening times was the cherry on top. Will stay again if in the area

My husband and I, took our six grandchildren on vacation to experience the Ark Encounter. The property was well equipped for our stay, and the children loved everything regarding the trip. However, the cabin itself, is a very loud structure, and I had never experienced a cistern water system, which was all very interesting. The televisions failed to operate properly, with 4 remotes. But we were so busy with adventures, that we didnt miss them much. The host were very informative and available. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Absolutely Beautiful Setting!

This cabin has a mountain feel with the trees and surrounding area, but the view over the river is spectacular. Drinking coffee from the deck and watching barges float by with all the nature you could ask for. We were blessed to be greated by a baby fawn at the foot of the stairs. It never moved even though we were all around. The momma came and took it home later.Beds are very comfy but you will want to spend as much time as you can on the deck looking at the water. The drive to and from the home is just as good as the home itself. Highly recommend!

Family Spring Break

We were happily surprised find that the listing for four bedrooms 3 1/2 baths for this property turned out to be five bedrooms four bathrooms! One suggested place to go ended up being closed for quite a while, not a problem for us, but might be for other guests. All in all, an enjoyable location with great views of the Ohio River valley.

Thanksgiving weekend

Since our new condo was not ready to move in, we needed a place for the family to have Thanksgiving weekend. The cabin is perfect. Plenty of room for everyone and a wonderful kitchen. The view is so nice but yet we were within 45 minutes of home. Made it easy for everyone to come and go. Thank you

Excellent Property With Lot of Room for All

We stayed an extended weekend at the Jolly Cabin and it was wonderful! The property is beautiful and home like and has plenty of room for lots of people. It included 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. The kitchen is nice and roomy and easy to cook in, big dining and living area. There is a large basement that is in itself like a small apartment. There were kids toys and a high chair. The outside deck wraps around the entire house and has seating in all areas as well as a porch swing. The side facing the river has a bar area to eat as you watch the boats. The inside of the cabin was decorated with antiques and has real animals that were taxidermied. Our grandson loved them! There is a huge laundry room as well. This place was wonderful. The owner Barry is easy to reach and helps with any question. I will definitely stay again if we decide to head that way again. Top notch!

Great location! Went to Cincinnati Reds game, the zoo, swimming pool, The Ark/Creation Museum. Place was perfect for large family getaway, nice big table in dining room. Lots of bathrooms.

Family stay

It was absolutely remote and private. We were visiting the Ark, Creation Museum and the Cincinati Zoo among others and it was conveniently located in the middle of our travels. The personal service Barry offered was above and beyond The Log cabin carried some sounds in the tri level but was excellent for our big group. The two year old was fascinated by the barges passing up and down the river.
