The property is nice, kind of "Old School FL". However, the photos of the unit did not match the room that we received. Photos showed 2 balconies, double sink bathroom with a walk in shower. Our unit did not have a balcony and the bathroom was dated with a tiny vanity area and tub with old shower doors. We did have a beautiful view. It was fine for one week; however if we were to stay longer, a balcony would be nice. The staff at this resort were wonderful. Overall, we enjoyed it.

Second year, and we plan to keep coming back

This resort is clean, friendly, reasonably priced, and perfectly located. This was our second year, and we loved it. The only problem we had during the entire seven days was the pool being closed twice, but that is not the resort’s fault—really, people, if your kid isn’t potty trained, don’t let him swim in the pool! We ate at the resort’s restaurant almost every night, and really enjoyed the live entertainment. This place is great!

Thank you for staying again and writing a review. I apologize that the property had to close the pool. By law, after an accident, the pool has to be closed, cleaned and chemically treated. Winter break stay.

Close to beach and Restaurants, only compliant is people reserve the chairs by the pool at 730 am, and don't ever sit in them. Not a big dea, just annoying. Everything else was great.

Nice getaway.

Nice property. Thought bathroom could be updated. Shower very small - that area kinda could use overhaul, a few bds to cabinet loose on wall kitchen cabinet doors banged easily. Maybe add pieces on back to hrlp noise. Disappointed in the fight for chairs at pool and having book / towels taken away when many had chairs saved with towels very early in morning with no one there. Beautiful grounds.

Overall good experience

Good value for your money, nice location, good staff, overall I’d say 4+ out of 5. Two things that we did not like were the picture in the vrbo posting showed the room over looking the pool area but we overlooked the parking lot, if I hear another beep when someone licks their car!!! Also, the place has skimped on maintenance over the years, which is obvious throughout. Makes sense as it is a timeshare and board apparently desires to keep their annual maintenance costs low.

Great Location

Pros: great location, restaurants walking distance away. Staff friendly. Property is very clean. Beach is amazing. Beautiful pool and short walk on site to ocean. Cons: there are no umbrella’s around the pool, you can not leave your chair for more than 30 minutes or they will move your personal items which does not give you ample time to swim in the pool or walk the beach. A vacation should be care free not stressful about whether you will have someone touch your personal items. You are not allowed to move your chairs. Room was in need of updating and repairs, sliding glass door did not shut all the way. The shower drain started floating. The sink was clogged. We didn’t come to this condo to have to spend time having repair men occupying our space while we were there. Our view of our room from the balcony was of homeless people.

Great location.Floor level high so able to see Ocean ,beach and views.Very clean and comfortable.Thestaff is friendly and helpful.Also many places to eat besides the restaurant and within walking distance.The beach is nice as well as the pool.

Wonderful Winter Get-Away

We were skeptical about PBSR after reading reviews on the condition of the property & need for updates but were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The staff was always helpful, very friendly & incredibly responsive. The resort wasn't shiny & new but had charm & great amenities. It was clean, comfortable & we felt very safe. Our suite had plenty of room, nice views, very comfortable beds, well appointed small kitchen & a huge plus was we never heard any noise at night. The bathroom was big, had plenty of hot water but is ready for some updates. The pool & surroundings were very nice but the beach & ocean were truly beautiful! Didn't eat at the resort but enjoyed some of the other restaurants in walking distance (recommend Johnny Longboats). Our stay was a wonderful escape from the ice & cold at home! Would love to come back & stay longer!

PB Shores Resort

Great location. Great tiki bar with super friendly, excellent bartenders. Beach location is primo but they charge $30 per day unless you’re a timeshare owner. Taking the Peanut Island snorkeling tour and the intercostal boat ride is a must. Never figured out why some people rave about the restaurant - just ok. Pool is just fine with plenty of chairs. Their heavy handed timeshare tactics are over the top. They don’t even have units available and the “short” timeshare pitch lasts over 3 hours- ugh. Don’t fall for their tactics! Would definitely book here again without the timeshare pitch!

***This review contains inaccurate information*** -- The beach is free for all guests of this resort. The $30 charge is for renting beach chairs and beach umbrellas. Additionally, this guest signed up (through the resort's guest services desk) to attend a timeshare sales presentation. It's not part of our bookings and it's not required of our guests. Some (not all) guests are asked by the guest services desk to sign up for a sales presentation and they are provided compensation for going. Unless you're interested in learning about timeshares or travel clubs, my advice is to not sign up for the sales presentation. We are not affiliated or associated in any manner with the sales company. Additionally, the guest services desk is separate from the front desk (check-in desk).

Very clean both the room and outside property.

I loved the facility especially the beachfront. Cabana workers are extremely friendly and efficient. View from the units patio was nice for the sunrise every morning. Also enjoyed the Tiki restaurant on the property.

Nice place and great location

The location was wonderful and the balcony offered a nice view. The location was great with a beautiful beach, close to restaurants, stores and attractions. The restaurant on site was nice for dinners. They offered an all you can eat lobster night at a good price. The staff were friendly and really went above and beyond. I would stay again. It’s a great place.
