I was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa and moved to Cape Town over 20 years ago, a dream come true as the Cape is incredibly beautiful offering breath taking coastlines lined by mountains and holds a vast variety of indigenous flora. I was a tourist guide for many years in the greater part of South Africa after working and traveling abroad for some years. My passion remains sharing this country with all who travel by or through and what a great opportunity to welcome guests onto Frieden-Hof and assist by sharing information about all the beautiful attractions close by. I am also an artist and have developed my skill into a clothing range mainly focusing on up cycle or recycle of cloth ranging from clothing items to handbags. My other passion is nature and I am blessed being on our smallholding for over 20 years. I love animals and therefor have 6 dogs, 2 cats (most rescued from shelters) besides the chickens and squirrels sharing our property. Sharing this with our guests is a privilege for sure.

Penhill Estate has a unique setup. It is nestled within giant old eucalyptus trees and has just over 200 smallholdings. Naturally it attracts people who love nature and animals which range from dogs to horses, chickens, miniature pot bellies, geese, horses and more. One holds a feeling of almost being on a farm or in the country yet so close to many attractions the Western Cape has to offer and is close to Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Somerset West. Our property is definitely recommended for those loving the outdoors.

Frieden-Hof means peaceful courtyard and guests have the opportunity to relax within the tranquil surroundings whether listening to the sound of bird song or being mesmerized by the warms colors of sunsets.
