Arrived and lakeside bedroom smelled of unleaded gas, closed door, didnt use it. Heater kicked off, reignited pilot light. Full size bed we slept in needs a new mattress.Great location, right on the beach.

We loved the property. It was in a great location and was very clean and well kept. However with my condition the beds were very uncomfortable. I have a cervical fusion. I understand that this is not their fault. Other than that I had no complaints about the property.

Great Getaway

Perfect getaway in beautiful Manistee. The beach was superb and just a somewhat steep stairway down from the house. It was a much needed vacation before everyone goes back to school.

The house really didn’t feel all that clean, and had a very musty smell throughout. There were alot of dead bugs in windowsills and over the outside of the house in cobwebs. Door wouldn’t shut in the bedroom because the bed was in the way and room was too small for it. Beautiful location. Wonderful helpful host. Probably wouldn’t return

Fall vacation

My mother, husband and I stayed at this location. It had everything we needed. Gorgeous view! Close to the things we needed to see. I would stay here again!

Incredible view

We had a fantastic few days. We had a mostly private beach. It was so peaceful. The house had everything we needed to make for a wonderful stay. We hope to go back next summer!

Cozy lake cottage

Not a huge modern beach house, but a cozy knotty pine lined cottage. Great view of the lake, had everything we needed for a four day stay. The cottage was clean on our arrival and the bed was comfy. Not far at all from Manistee and close to hiking trails at Arcadia.

Weekend Fishing Trip

We brought our boys to Manistee for a fishing trip. We had an amazing stay at this cabin! With fishing, beach and hiking all available without driving anywhere! Boys are already asking when we can come back!

lake house on Lake Michigan

Much older home and is small but clean. The view of Lake Michigan from the home was beautiful. Enough room for all of us to stay. Access to beach was amazing and very convenient and right out the back door. The beach was very nice. We drove to Arcadia and walked the trails and dunes which were only 25 min drive We will definitely be staying again.

cozy cottage

Cottage was clean, well equipped tho small but perfect for two Well stocked with soap, paper towels and even kleenex. Not sure about listing that stated air conditioning tho there were fans. Quiet area and beach. Great twice daily walks along beach and beautiful sunsets!

The cottage was cute and quaint, beautiful accessible beach! The view/lake frontage is the star of the show. The house was clean but needs a deep clean out. Overall, the cottage itself was dated which is fine and no biggie but the biggest problems had to do with how much random old stuff there which made it feel less dirtier than it probably was. There's no pantry to put food, the kitchen cabinets were crammed with a lot of old junk . The whole place really needs a clean out and someone to rethink some choices. The coffee maker is a Keurig, which would have been nice to know. There is a drip coffee maker in a cabinet but we didn't dare use it bc it looked pretty gross. The tea kettle was disgusting also so we went to the store and bought our own electric tea kettle to make coffees. The fire extinguisher was from 1978 sitting on the counter which kinda paints the picture. For a rental property, we shouldn't have to be surrounded by the old used stuff we don't need At the end of the day, we were there for the lake and were comfortable enough. Truly, the lake and property were amazing so if you're not a neat freak, you'll be fine! It's small, so probably would recommend not sleeping all 8 people.

We were still close to town and the casino for rainy days. The house is definitely a cottage, but it suited our needs well enough. The view and ability to be Lake Michigan lake front was the best!

Beautiful location

The place is located in a beautiful spot and has a wonderful private access to the beach below. Communication with the host was very prompt and clear throughout our stay. The only issue we had was that the cleaning done prior was not very thorough in the rooms and dishes had food from previous tenants that needed to be washed. Aside from that, everything about our stay was great.

Great little cabin with a spectacular beach. We paddle boarded most days and visited Sleeping Bear. House is well stocked with everything. Every drawer had something in it, pens, foil, lighters, games, every kind of pot and pan, ect. It would actually be useful if they emptied out a cabinet for any pantry food you brought with you. The water has a mineral taste so we bought jugs. Also there is a window unit in the kitchen, but no real AC in the bedrooms which we were prepared for. Nights were generally cool enough to open the windows. Our family of 5 had a great and memorable time.
