About the host
Your host

Hi, my name is Mark (your host). 3 years ago I moved to Tennille, GA with a vision to reinvent and reinvigorate this small railroad downtown hamlet. Several properties I have completed are historical sites and date back to the turn of the century. Tennille has begun a new renaissance and is host to the Hi-Lo Trail a planned 211-mile paved trail that will connect Athens to Savannah, passing through Tennille, GA. Locally, Tennille is widely known for its restaurants and after hours night life. In addition to the properties I have undertaken, Tennille has started to shine once again and is home to a live functional railway station with busy trains rumbling through the little town.
Why they chose this property
I chose Tennille to develop a thriving commercial business hub with the new upcoming Tennille Marketplace and Farmers Market, an upscale Homegoods store, hip and vibby loft apartments, a barbershop, restaurant and ABnB accommodations at a Historic Landmark 5,200sf Railroad mansion designed by famed architect Charles Choate, a late 1800s Beaux Arts building turned residence.
What makes this property unique
It warms the heart to see beautiful old buildings turned into vibrant new buildings. These old structures cannot be replicated and elicit such strong emotions from the local’s childhood memories that it brings a tear to your eye. It’s hometown Apple pie and USA.
