The studio apartment is in a very convenient location. It is a lovely walk to Yale. Many restaurants just outside the door. My friends, who joined me for a meal, found parking easily. It was a plus having use of a parking pass for Dwight Street. We never had a problem getting a parking spot. We also loved being able to bring our two small pups with us. The bottle of wine was a thoughtful touch.
The Good - host check-in information was organized, communicated well, listing was accurate, space clean and nicely decorated, bed, pillows, and linens SUPER comfortable, pet friendly, kitchen well equipped, nice bottle of wine waiting for us!The Not as Good - unloading was a challenge because it was difficult to find street parking nearby, the area around the building is not so great and we were a little nervous walking our dog late at night, and building feels more like a dorm and is high activity with lots of coming and going, lots of sirens and street noise. Our 13 year old dog was attacked by an off-leash dog inside the building as we were coming off the elevator to take her out for a walk. Owner of the dog was very nonchalant and rude about securing his dog, claiming she didn’t bite, as she was growling, lunging, and biting our dog, who, thankfully didn’t engage. The whole situation was tense and the guy told me I was rude for yelling at him to get his dog and that she should be leashed. Of course I was rude - he wasn’t securing his dog. Luckily no injuries but very upsetting nonetheless. There are irresponsible dog owners everywhere but important to give all the details so potential guests can weigh all information.
