About the host

Host profile image
David and Julia have been blessed to be able to travel and know the lasting memories of a great place to stay. They are grateful to be able to share a home which they believe has the little touches that make a great experience!

Why they chose this property

Keller is an old railroad town that has tremendous pride. It's what we call a suburban bedroom community. There's not much in the way of big attractions , but it's attraction is the families and businesses that make it home. Keller is like the little dog with a whole bunch of fight in it . For example, the underdog in the high school rivalry with its neighbor Southlake, Texas. There is what we call the real Keller which is everything on the east side of 377, and then the fake Keller which is on the west side of 377, (shhh, Don't tell them even if it is Keller ISD that it is really Fort Worth over there).

Keller, Texas began in the mid-19th century as a settlement near Big Bear Creek known as "Double Springs," which was chosen for its proximity to the Trinity River and fertile land for farming. The area became a formal town after the Texas and Pacific Railway was built in 1881, with the settlement of Athol renamed "Keller" in honor of railroad foreman John C. Keller. The town officially incorporated on November 16, 1955, after which it began to grow from a farming community into the residential suburb it is today.

What makes this property unique

My father built this house! So grateful to have been able to afford a house at a young age and now take pride in letting it be a great place that others can enjoy.
