Fabulous Sunset Cliffs Retreat

This is a wonderful property with an incredible location! My family of 9 adults stayed here quite comfortably- the beds are super-comfortable and the house is roomy and stocked with everything you need for an amazing vacation. The deck and fire pit made our weekend! We would 100% stay again!

Great for two families, nice location

Comfortable space for two families w three full bathrooms and plenty of beds. Linens, soaps, paper supplies were well stocked. Quiet location accessible to nice coastal walks and town. The common open kitchen and living room space is as pictured.

Super Clean Family Friendly Point Loma Home

This property is immaculately maintained and the property manager, Lisa, obsessed (in a good way!) with the details. Our family, which includes two 6 year olds and a dog, had a lovely time staying at this home and felt well attended to by Lisa. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay

We had 6 adults and 1 child under 2 and this was very accommodating. Every couple had their own bathroom and there was plenty of room for all of us. The house was well stocked with all the necessities. We had a full size suv, and parked in the alleyway, which was tight, but worked. Great outdoor space also. The owner was easy to communicate with and would definitely stay there again.

Sunset Cliffs Hideaway

cozy, clean and well equipped. no surprises- pictures were accurate. Outside deck was very nice for relaxing and enjoying the ocean view 2 blocks away. Beds were very comfortable and baths were nice, except for shower head pressure which could be stronger.. All in all, a delightful experience.

Our first visit to Ocean Beach

We switched things up this year. We decided to try Ocean Beach & we were not disappointed. Cutest beach town with shops & restaurants within walking distance. Our beach house was darling! So much room! It had all the amenities we needed including games & activities for my granddaughters. Our host; Liza reached out the day we arrived to welcome us & provide details about the house & location. We loved our stay & plan to return in the near future

We were in the San Diego area for a convention and chose to stay in a home vs a hotel. The home was very comfortable and cozy. Short walk to the beach and great downtown places to eat. The only disappointment was that we didn't have an ocean view as stated in the ad. The bushes blocked the view.

Lovely home!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely beach home. It was very clean and well-maintained and the location was great! We are a family of four and everyone was comfortable and entertained. Lisa is an extremely cordial home-owner. She made herself available for questions, gave suggestions for fun things to do around town and even stocked the fridge for us and let us check in early and out a little late! We definitely hope to return to Lisa's wonderful home for future vacations!

Great home base for San Diego adventures

We were here for visiting Point Loma University and dropping daughter for school. House was roomy with big open living space and spacious bedrooms. Location was convenient. House sits just a couple blocks from oceanfront. Only a couple minutes to university by car. Couple minutes by car or short walk to Ocean Beach with shops and restaurants. Really a good jumping off point to most SD attractions. Didn’t need to contact owner during stay as everything was dialed in and no issues. Would stay here again!

Attractive property in great location

Our family of 8 adults, 2 children, and one infant had a wonderful time here. The kitchen was great, with every appliance, good storage, and new pots and pans. Everything was clean and as described. Lisa was very responsive to our few requests. We spent a lot of time on the deck because the weather was beautiful and the deck was smooth and spacious. Would have liked to use the propane heater in the evenings but the tank was empty. The walk to the beach is fun and the waves were impressive! We didn't see anyone swimming there - rather chilly - though another day the beach at nearby La Jolla was packed. San Diego has so many attractions. We loved Balboa Park and the Maritime Museum. The 10-minute drive to the airport was very convenient, too. We want to come back - so that means we'd recommend it!

Great Open Space Home

First, we really enjoyed our stay here. Lisa was very accommodating. Everything was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed, we found, including an ice chest in the pantry. The open kitchen connects to the deck by two sets of large french doors keeping everybody together, without being too together. In the evenings, there was plenty of space for everyone to stretch out, relax, and chat. The parking spot in the back of the house was large enough for our 12-pass van. This location really does not sleep 8 adults, but it can work for 7. That being said, it is very difficult to find a place that sleeps 8 adults on a budget, so sometimes you just make it work. A hammock on the deck might be a really nice addition. Lastly, when the house is closed up, a distinct cat odor builds up which dissipates with the doors open. I imagine cat people wouldn't even notice it, but we are not cat people. I would recommend this location, with caveats.

There are 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 7 beds total and one sleeper sofa. I pride myself in prompt customer service and wish I had KNOWN about an odor during your stay so that I could have addressed it immediately. This was the first time I have heard of this issue and as a result I have had it corrected. Turns out it was coming from the back alley where a stray cat must have spent some time. The alley and the perimeter of the house was treated by professionals. Thank you for your thoughts and comments. Lisa

Great Family Stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at Ocean Beach. We were three families and the house was spacious enough to accommodate all of us very comfortably, with each of us having our own bedroom and bathroom and a large communal area with a kitchen and sitting room accommodating all of us. The house was spotless on our arrival and all the amenities were provided (towels, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, sheets, etc). There is a lovely large spacious deck off the main living area with lounge furniture and a table that accommodates 8-10 people. The communication was excellent with the management team both prior and during our stay. It should be noted that this house is actually behind another house and it might be a little tricky to find when you first pull up. There is a lot of privacy, but you are definitely close to other houses, though it is a very quiet neighbourhood. Limited parking is available on the street and there is also a designated parking spot behind the home that you can parallel park into. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Family reunion

The 2 houses together gave us a perfect set up for our 3 generation family reunion. The front house has a very nice, comfortable living room with a dining room, small kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom that 2 adults and 2 children under 4 stayed at. The back house has a large room/kitchen as the center of the house which we usually all gathered in. The large house kitchen has every size pot, pan, dishes, etc you could possibly need. We had more then enough room to cook several meals and gather around to eat together. The bedrooms were very nice, and had 3 bathrooms which was perfect for our large group. There was a nice tub in the large house we used to bathe the 4 young kids. The outside area was lovely, and has nice outdoor furniture to gather and eat dinner. The neighborhood is very nice and a great location to get to every place we wanted to go. There were even beach chairs, towels and sand toys to borrow. The washing machine and dryer are brand new, and having it let us pack less knowing we could do laundry. The set up was perfect with 5 kids ages 9, 4, 2.5, 1.5 and 9 months. Even has a swing set in the smaller house back yard.

Great place for a meeting

This house was a great place for a meeting. It was a short walk to the cliffs overlooking the ocean. The house was set up well for a meeting, with a large kitchen, 2 outdoor areas well suited to working, and bedrooms for 4. (the 5th bedroom isn't suitable for work friends, because you have to go through one bedroom to get to the other and the light switch operates the light in both rooms). From the deck you can see the ocean and a beautiful view of the sunset!
