Unmet potential
Pulling in the property looks amazing the house is so attractive with the bright red roof. Once all the way in the driveway, we noticed all this debris laying in the yard. Tree limbs, branches, two metal hammock frames, all bent up as if the wind had broken them. Garden hoses laying all out. Yard around house unkept. Once inside, two large, clean restrooms. Listing erroneously lists queen mattress it’s definitely a full/double. This was our anniversary trip and we ended up having to sleep in separate rooms, even though we are two normal size adults. no night tables, lamps, closet to hang clothes, or luggage rack. Beautiful view from front porch, however the front wooden door had a hole in the bottom of it like a varmint had chewed through it, and it looked like black electrical tape been put over it, but had lost it stickiness and left a gaping hole. . Front storm door had no handle or latch mechanism inside or out and the frame that holds the plexiglass in was laying on the front porch. Scotch tape had been used to hold the plexiglass in place, but at this point it had failed. Could not locate chairs for fire pit in the barn. Other side of barn locked. The are 8 remote controls with no guestbook/instructions, etc. never locate it the vase, DVD library mentioned in the listing. No dish cloths or hot pads. White den couch covered in stains. This cottage has a tremendous amount of unmet potential. Good thing we only need a place to sleep and shower.
