About this property
Cabin Creek / Heated Garage / Parking / Sleeps 10+
Built for Snowmobilers. Period.
Cabin Creek is a true Upper Peninsula snowmobile basecamp on the western shore of Lake Gogebic, designed specifically for riding groups who want direct trail access, warm spaces, serious parking, and gear-friendly amenities.
Ride-In / Ride-Out Snowmobile Access. Direct access to groomed snowmobile trails on Lake Gogebic and one block from trails off Lake Gogebic. Ride straight from the property to Lake Gogebic and the surrounding UP trail systems!
No trailering every morning. No parking hassles. Massive cleared parking area! Easily accommodates more than 5 full-size trucks with 4-place trailers. Built for real riding groups, not just a single trailer.
Heated garage for working on sleds in comfort with a bar and TV!
Garage outlets are available for diesel truck block heaters, so you can plug in and ensure your truck starts when it’s time to head home.
This space alone makes Cabin Creek a go-to destination for winter rentals.
Gear-Friendly Unfinished Basement (Clean and Functional). The basement is unfinished but extremely practical, designed for snowmobilers who need organization and utility space. Dedicated gear storage area with shelves for helmets, boots, and gloves. Hanging bars to dry snowmobile suits and outerwear.
Large table for cards and group hangouts. Two washers and two dryers to wash and dry your clothing!
An additional full-size refrigerator for food and beverages! Not finished living space, but a major winter advantage for riding groups.
Sleeps 10+ Comfortably (No Adult Bunk Beds)
Eight real beds across four bedrooms, plus two day beds in the porch for relaxing or napping!
Main level: King bed in the master bedroom with a recently added 50" TV. Two swinging day beds on the enclosed porch provide an optional extra sleeping space.
Upper level: One bedroom with a queen bed and two twin beds. Two additional bedrooms, each with two twin beds.
Sonos speakers throughout the home. Vintage turntable for spinning vinyl and setting the cabin vibe. vSeeBox streaming device with access to a wide range of live sports, movies, and channels.
Fully functional kitchen with all essentials. Large Keurig coffee maker. Starter selection of K-Cups provided; guests are encouraged to bring their favorite flavors.
A full kitchen remodel is planned for the future and will not affect winter stays.
If you are looking for a no-compromise Upper Peninsula snowmobile basecamp, Cabin Creek Cottage delivers exactly what riders want and nothing they do not.
Book early. Prime winter weekends fill fast.

About the host
Hosted by Mike Larson
Hey there! I’m Mike Larson — a Northern Minnesota guy who grew up loving the outdoors: boating, hockey, and snowmobiling (especially trying to tackle my older sisters on our old Polaris Colt!). These days, I still ride in the Blackwood Blizzard Tour every year to raise money for ALS.
I’m married to my wife Kristin (20 years and counting), and we have two busy, fun-loving kids. I’ve coached both of them in hockey and passed on my love for fishing, ATVs, snowmobiles, jet skis, boats, wakesurfing, paddleboards, and kayaks.
Kristin grew up in the Twin Cities, but her family lives in Warroad & Canada — places we try to visit often. It has that same great, remote feel as the Upper Peninsula, which is one of the reasons we fell in love with this area back in 2015.
At Cabin Creek, campfires are a nightly ritual, and you might hear about my son’s favorite food — “Canadian Chicken” (because for some reason, he refused walleye but loved Canadian Chicken!).
We’re big fans of the outdoors, good food, and relaxed times with family and friends. If you need local tips or anything to make your stay better, just let us know!
