The location and view were great! The condition of the property was rough. Many items broken or not working properly. This could be an amazing property with improved maintenance and cleanliness.

Hi Douglas, the homeowner would like to share the following message: "We're glad you enjoyed the location and view, but sorry to hear your stay was less than a 5-star experience. We wish you would have contacted us during your stay with any items you were dissatisfied with, and we would have made our best effort to remedy them. The home undergoes ongoing maintenance, and once a year is taken down, so larger items requiring more time may be addressed. We're continuously working to make improvements to provide our guests with a positive experience."

The views at the cabin are unbelievable!
Upon entering the cabin we were taken away with the view from the upper deck. The kitchen and living room were nice. The bedrooms and bathrooms needed some major updates including stained carpeting and very dark bathroom upstairs. The cleanliness was slightly below average with cobwebs prevalent throughout the entire cabin. I would definitely stay here again if there was a detailed cleaning completed.

Hi Mike, We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the cabin's beautiful views! We are sorry that the cleanliness of the property was not satisfactory, and we have shared your feedback with the homeowner and their cleaner. The owner is replacing the carpet this fall, and we are confident that any other issues will also be resolved for future travelers. The owner would love to welcome you back as their guest and provide a 5-star stay the next time you're in Gatlinburg, so please keep us in mind for your future travels. Best, the Evolve Team
we had a wonderful time. only really have 2 complaints. one is the bedroom on the main floor to the left had an odor that smelled like vomit(?) maybe? we bought an air freshener to help. and the mattress in the bedroom to the right may need to be replaced or upgraded. other than those 2 issues we had a wonderful time. we did get snowed in on thursday but that was ok! thanks for the accommodations!
We loved this cabin on the mountain just above downtown Gatlinburg! The views off the decks were just breathtaking! The drive up the mountain is a little tricky, but well worth it for this cabin. We had 8 adults and an infant and there was plenty of room for everyone to hangout and have their own space too! Our teenagers loved the game room downstairs and made the most of the pool table for sure. It was clean, had great views, and tons of space. Definitely recommend!
When we arrived, I was disappointed due to rain outside and coolness and darkness inside. While the cabin stayed on the dark side (a few cozy lamps would have been nice), it warmed up quickly to a very comfortable temperature. I would suggest a quick improvement for the owners: Rip off the pealing wallpaper and just paint the walls. The morning and night views were fantastic however. The fireplace is lovely. As other reviews stated, the long curvy road up the mountain required concentration on the part of the driver. A young bear even came up to the cabin! We were all very excited about that and watched him from the deck.
Great stay at the lodge with family. The cabin itself needs a bit updating and more cleaning, spiderwebs and cobwebs eveywhere. The location is great though, good view and even saw some bears.
We loved the cabin! It was perfect for our family of 8. Location to Gatlinburg was good, not too far. We spent most days visiting Gatlinburg. Bears visited the cabin daily and we watched them from the upper deck. The view is very pretty. Drive up and down the mountain was steep.
Property is a great find. Yes the trek up the mountain side can be tricky but is worth it. Great views and is great for a cup of coffee on the balcony in the morning. Not terribly far from Gatlinburg. Thank you for a great place to create memories for years to come
Quintessential cabin to enjoy the high altitudes of the Appalachian. Due to the snowy weather we ended up staying in all weekend with a roaring fire, hot cocoa, and board games. Had some minor issues with a kitchen appliance but the property owner and Evolve Rental were quick to respond. Would definitely return again!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Needs updating, but great location
This cabin is at the highest point of this area and the views were amazing. From the listing of 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, I assumed each bedroom had access to a bathroom, but upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and one bathroom, and there is a full bathroom in the basement away from all bedrooms. I found this out right before our stay only because I asked for the lay out. I probably wouldn't have booked this cabin if I had known the layout at the time of booking.
Guest contact was very attentive even though it was a holiday weekend.
For the cabin itself, we found several minor issues and many parts were outdated and just didn't look nice (hot tub cover was shredding in the inside and there were no head rests in it, cabinet knobs and door knobs were loose). The washer wasn't working and the dryer stopped working as well, but the guest contact told us he would issue us a credit for that inconvenience since he was unable to get anyone to come out to repair it.
The pool table was not in good shape and only one pool stick was usable. The basement (game room) was so cold compared to the rest of the house that we hardly stayed down there. The walls between the bedrooms upstairs were so thin, we had very little privacy.
We saw mice multiple times, and although that's to be expected in the mountains, we had to clean out the entire silverware tray multiple times after finding droppings in it.
Overall, we had a great time with our family but I wouldn't book this cabin again, simply because there are so many options out there in better condition.

Hi Sarah, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we are sorry that you experienced a few issues during your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We do not advertise that each bedroom has its own bathroom on the listing, but we apologize that this caught you off guard.
- There is a new hot tub cover on order.
- The washer/dryer combo unit did have a problem during your weekend stay, and as explained to you, the part could not quickly be obtained over the weekend, but we hope that the measures taken by Evolve help to make up for this inconvenience.
- The pool table is scheduled for its annual felt replacement after the busy season.
- We apologize that you were not comfortable with the temperature in the house. Guests should be able to set the temperature at any desired level as it is not restricted in any way.
- We encourage guests to reach out with any concerns while in residence so we have the opportunity to make things right - the local contact would have been happy to help with the pests.
Thanks for letting us know about your stay!
Views were great> Things like chair in kitchen needs to be fixed and light in down
bedroom is also in need of repair, plus dimmer switch in bathroom needs to be
replaced. We had a great time and there is plenty of room. The drive up is a challenge
the first time but gets better every time. Would stay there again and probably will
next year.
We enjoyed our stay- very roomy and nice to have 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms as we had 9 people. Also loved the game room area and hot tub and views from the decks. As noted in other reviews- we did see bears...maybe a little too close but that was part of the adventure. Also this is at the top of the mountain so with all the twists and turns to get there we never did that drive in the dark. Some suggestions for owners- need more kitchen towels and dishcloths as well as dishwasher pods. Smaller plates would be nice for breakfast/lunch items. The two upstairs rooms without fans get warm so maybe a standing floor fan would help. Also, the upper deck was very dusty so maybe hadn't been cleaned/swept and there are some floor boards with wide holes the chair legs often got stuck. Very enjoyable trip!
Gorgeous views from the porch - the drive up is terrifying, but after a few times it's not so bad. Our biggest complaint was the kitchen could be better stocked - there were no dry measuring cups, only a 1/2 tsp measuring spoon. A mixing bowl had a hole in the bottom, pots were very old/worn. Things above plus a few "nice to haves" salt & pepper, maybe a crock pot, would have gone a long way. A few other issues were cob webs in easy to reach places, a flickering light by the kitchen. We had a really nice time though.
I really enjoyed staying at this particular cabin. He had more than enough materials to accommodate all 8 of us that stayed. The Cabin a lot of space to do fun things. The cabin is located at the mountain top with a beautiful view of the city at night and a beautiful morning view on the balcony. The cabin has three levels but two of them have a patio. The jacuzzi was very relaxing and enjoyable. I overall enjoyed the beautifulness of the cabin and location.
No gas grill as shown on website.
Master bedroom bathroom light switch knob is broken.
Master bedroom window glass is broken.
Master bedroom sink has very low cold water pressure.
Upstairs bathroom light switch above the stool does not work properly.
One of the dining table captain's chair has a loose arm.
Kitchen could be a little better stocked with paper goods and dish soap.
One wine glass was found cracked.
Great views but a bit difficult to get to after dark if one is not familiar with the area.
Enjoyed a long weekend at the cabin with our friends. Each morning and evening we sat on the decks and enjoyed the views! Location was great and had some bear and turkey visitors throughout the weekend.
The property is positioned on top of a mountain and the views do not disappoint. The home is kept in good condition could use some updating but was exactly as pictured. The wild life is abundant.
We had such a great time !! I would definitely come back again. Had great views ❤️ Very spacious. Great location too. We got to see a bear while we were there which was very exciting . Can’t wait to come back !!!
A wonderful cozy property with four private queen bed rooms really helped sleeping arrangements work well. Nestled at the very top of the mountain cabin areas, be prepared for an steep uphill windy drive up where you will be rewarded from the deck with a beautiful view of the mountains and Pidgeon Forge off in the distance lighted up at night. Basement has a pool table and video console with old school video games we all really enjoyed, even our 11 and 14 year olds. All bedrooms had plenty of bathroom space - extra large bathroom and shower on lower floor makes up for on very small shower in one main floor bedroom. The bathroom upstairs and other areas of the house have sky lights that created nice lighting and enabled us to see a rare sighting of a large luna moth. Bears are beautiful to see but prevalent. We heard that since the 2016 fire they have been more present. We had at least 25 bear sightings on trails in town and around the cabin. Just need to remain aware and keep your distance. Since the fire grill use in the area needs to be charcoal in the front of the house and not on the deck so be prepared for this. We were able to enjoy it. This cabin enabled us close access to great trails and rafting which was our goal and was a great place to stay for this purpose.
