Welcome to your riverfront retreat on the Wallowa River! This custom-built home offers a serene mountain escape just minutes from Wallowa Lake’s resort area, hiking trails, and the tramway.

Inside, enjoy tall picture windows framing the river, a cozy living room with gas stove, a dining area with deck access, and a fully equipped kitchen. The main-floor queen bedroom offers easy access, while upstairs you’ll find another queen room and a spacious primary suite with king bed, sitting area, wet bar, and Jacuzzi tub.

The wraparound deck with ample seating is the perfect place to unwind as the river flows by. Seasonal propane BBQs make dining outdoors easy, and modern essentials like WiFi, a flatscreen TV, and digital lock entry ensure comfort and convenience.

Winter travelers should prepare for changing conditions—4WD, chains, or studded tires are strongly recommended. Parking for three vehicles is available.

This peaceful riverside getaway combines comfort, natural beauty, and prime access to Wallowa’s best adventures. This is a quarter mile from one of the most popular trailheads in the Eagle Cap wilderness. The Eagle Cap is the largest wilderness area in the state of Oregon. One dog (maximim 25 lbs) is allowed on the first floor.

Fabulous clean cabin for a family trip. There was ample room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. The river was beautiful and created a wonderfully peaceful sound to fall asleep to. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful weekend here for Labor Day. The cabin is beautiful, very clean and nice. The river right outside was incredible. Was so great to watch the salmon going upstream. Loved seeing all the deer as well. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a getaway in a beautiful location. We didn’t bring our dogs, but they would have been in heaven!

We had a wonderful stay at the Wallowa River House. The setting was peaceful, quiet and listening to the river was very relaxing. The home was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host was helpful and accommodating. Check in and check out were smooth. We enjoyed and appreciated the snacks that were left by the host. We would definitely stay here again.

This house is picturesque! Quick access to a great lake with the soothing sound of rushing water at the cabin. The house is fully functional-we didn't have to run into town to get anything to live normal life during our stay. Thanks for a great place to stay and allowing our dog!

The house was gorgeous, clean and well stocked. Our hostess left snacks for us and the coffee maker was a dual pod and/or carafe drip system, with supplies for both. It was a little rainy, so we didn't get to sit outside by the river on the deck, but we could watch it flow by. We will definitely stay here again!

Charming and very clean. We would definitely recommend this house. We really had no issues or problems. Only thing I would suggest is a bigger tv. It was very hard to read the menu and make selections. (Old eyes) And to future guests, make sure you screenshot your check-in information as there is no cell service to look at the code to get into the house. lol.

Absolutely loved this charming cabin. The sound of the river flowing next to it was incredibly relaxing. The surrounding area was beautifully wooded with deer everywhere and nice views of the mountain peaks.The cabin itself was immaculate and smelled amazing. Everything we needed was well stocked. Super simple directions- thank you for not leaving a gigantic binder to read through! The bed in the master was so comfortable and we loved having a stove in the bedroomas well. The online photos do not do it justice! I would absolutely stay again!

We can't wait to return and stay here again. The home is immaculately clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The host left us flowers and treats, making us feel very welcome. The kitchen is well equipped, and living spaces have plenty of games and movies for entertainment. The deck, outdoor grill, and location right on the river are better than expected. It's a cozy cabin with a clean, inviting space that feels like home. Ample seating and couches to relax and share meals with the whole family.
