About the host
Hosted by Brook Harmon

I’ve traveled the world for many years and developed a deep appreciation for hospitality. I believe it’s at the heart of being a great host, and I truly enjoy creating a warm, welcoming space for others to feel at home.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it captures the best of upstate New York living — peaceful, scenic, and surrounded by nature, yet close enough to lakes, wineries, and small towns for convenience and fun.
What we love most is the quiet beauty of the area. Mornings are filled with birdsong, evenings with star-filled skies, and every season brings something special — from fall foliage to summer hikes. The stocked pond makes it especially great for families with children who want to learn and have fun fishing without traveling far from the house. Packing up the kids and gear for a long trip can be tough — here, it’s just steps away, making fishing both easier and more enjoyable. It’s a place where families can slow down, explore trails and creeks, and reconnect with each other away from the rush of daily life.

What makes this property unique
What makes Whispers of Nature truly unique is the combination of space, privacy, and experiences right outside the door. Few homes in this area can host up to 15 guests comfortably, making it perfect for family reunions and group getaways. The house is divided into two private wings, giving guests room to spread out while still enjoying shared spaces.
The rare feature is our private stocked pond, just steps from the backyard. Families love it because kids can learn to fish in a safe, catch-and-release setting without the hassle of packing up and driving to a lake. Add in hiking trails, creeks, and access to 70+ acres of land to explore, and you have a retreat that blends comfort with true outdoor adventure.
