About this property
1 Bedroom Lock Off - Private Hot Tub - Quiet Location
**Discounts offered for weekly rentals**
This cozy upscale 1-Bedroom Condo is the lower level, caretaker unit portion of a larger home that is occupied by the owner and or owner guests, making this 1-Bedroom quite unique & private compared to most 1-Bedrooms on the market. The owner is on premise but is very accustomed to renting so is wonderful about giving renters their space but being there for them if they need anything. This property has a good location with great views! Winter season guests can ski in and ski out but driving and parking may be easier. The driveway is professionally maintained and plowed in the winter season, but it is fairly steep so we strongly recommend having a 4WD or AWD vehicle, with good tires. Guests who visit in Spring, Summer, or Fall need not worry about the driveway, and will enjoy the peaceful forested outdoor space with views of Lone Peak. You might even be treated to visits from local wildlife, since elk and other animals are plentiful in this area.
** Please note that the standard occupancy for this rental property is 2. If you will have a 3rd person, $65 will be added to the normal nightly rate of your reservation.

We loved staying at Dawn’s place. It was the perfect Big Sky ski cabin - ski in/ski out, full kitchen to cook meals, cozy vibes, and a wonderful hot tub to enjoy after a day on the slopes. Plus Dawn is an amazing host whose thoughtful touches made the stay so memorable!

3rd time staying
This was our third times staying with Dawn. We stayed for just short of 3 weeks and it was a great time. We will be back again in Aug.
We really enjoyed our stay, the view was fantastic. With it not being ski season it was nice & quiet. Dawn was great & went over & above to be accommodating .

Thank you for the positive review. We pride ourselves on our high levels of service and ensuring a positive customer experience. We hope to see you again soon!
We loved everything about our stay. There were so many extras from flip flops and cozy robes for the hot tub, comfy freshly laundered blankets for the couch, a stocked kitchen, and snacks. We felt like we were staying with family. The views were amazing and hot tub so relaxing. We would love to stay again.
Amazing view of the snow capped mountain with wildlife viewing daily in the backyard. Wonderful host on site that gives suggestions of town events and sights to visit.

In early December, the ski in ski out access may not be usable yet. Early season conditions vary from one year to the next and can not be guaranteed. Guests here will have a short drive to convenient free parking as a back up to the ski in ski out access.
This place was absolutely perfect. Our stay was as comfortable and amazing as could be and the owner couldn't have been sweeter and more accommodating. She even left a bottle of champagne by the hot tub for my fiance's birthday! The location is breathtaking up in the mountain but was still very accessible to Big Sky city area. We couldn't have been happier with our stay!
A panoramic view, clean, well furnished, quiet, lovely decor, convenient were our requirements... rental delivered. Host was a delight and made sure all was well with our stay. Driving to a parking lot, then a shuttle to the slopes was found to be hassle free. Note... If visiting in winter, a front wheel drive only vehicle could have its struggles.

I felt very uncomfortable with the lady right there. I felt like she was watching us.
Beautiful location the driveway is hard to get up and down the landlords pretty rude we input we did not put the hot tub cover on right away and she was there within five minutes bannging on the door and I had to help her shovel snow and put the cover on in my robe was not even dried off

We’re delighted that these guests enjoyed the beautiful location of the property! The driveway can be a bit challenging in snowy conditions, and we always provide guidance to help guests navigate it safely. We also have Dawn onsite who is available to assist with property needs and ensure everything is in good working order, especially during winter months. It is never her or our intention to make any guest feel uncomfortable! Our team’s goal is to maintain the property and provide a safe, comfortable stay for all guests. We encourage open communication and are happy to guide guests through any seasonal tasks, like using the hot tub, to make their stay as smooth as possible. We truly appreciate all feedback and continue to strive to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest. As always - our guest services line is available 24/7 should you need anything!
We had a wonderful time staying here for a few days and skiing at nearby Big Sky resort. You can ski in and out from the house by just hiking up the driveway and a cross the street to one of the access trails. From there you can ski down into the resort. Same on the way back, just takes a little longer on the return.
Unit is part of host’s home that they live in, but unit is still very private. Beautiful view from the outdoor hot tub and very friendly and gracious host.
We’ll definitely stay here again if we come back!

Thank you for the positive review Adam. This property is in a convenient and beautiful location. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the amenities and views. We hope to see you again soon!
What a fantastic escape! We came for a conference at Big Sky Resort and extended our trip. We wanted our own getaway away from the hustle and bustle of the resort. This was perfect! Just a few minute ride to the conference center.
Dawn is an incredible hostess. She went out of her way to ensure all potential needs were already addressed and was very accessible if we needed anything. She treated us like family. She gave great advice on where to go and what to do along with fun insight of the area.
There were 4 little foxes that came “home” to Dawn’s yard every afternoon. Such a beautiful and peaceful location with million dollar views of Lone Peak.
The bed was comfortable, rooms were all good sized, and the place was spotless.
So very glad we opted to stay here!
Can’t wait to come back!

This is a nice property in a great location for Big Sky. Perfect for a couple. The apartment is nicely appointed and very comfortable. However, ski in and ski out is a stretch. Ski out involves a walk up a steep drive, cross a road, and then some poling on a cat track. Ski in involves a short, tho hard rope tow, catching a real estate access lift, then walking up a flight of stairs to access a longer cat track (that had big chunks of ice on it) with road crossings, poling, and the walk down the driveway. We gave up after one day and decided to drive, which was easy and short unless crowded. Dawn the owner was super helpful and friendly and the place really is nice. Hot tub a great bonus. You can see local wildlife like a fox every day that visits. I would stay here again, just know what you are in for on the ski in and ski out.
The Pros:
Dawn is a delightful host - very responsive and available as needed.
The view of Lone Peak is amazing.
The place is nicely sized for two people, which is challenging to find in Big Sky.
The cons:
Dawn pays Big Sky for ski in/ski out access so technically this property qualifies. Practically its another matter: Its quite a slog to ski out, and a 45 minute return from the base of the Challenger lift. After one day of “ski out” we opted to drive to day parking instead. We “ski in/ski out” at a lot of resorts and this is one of the most challenging we’ve experienced.
The entire unit could use a good dusting and deep clean.
Dawn has two dogs, and as a guest you’ll know they’re there in a variety of ways.
The driveway is VERY steep. A 4WD vehicle is highly recommended.
Big Sky is beautiful and the home is well-appointed for comfort and rest. Getting up to that view every day was amazing!
And Dawn is the perfect host! She is as available or absent as you want. I was a little concerned about the owner being on the property at first. But she put my concerns to ease quickly.
We loved talking with her. She gave us great ideas for our vacation. She sent us to the Lamar Valley when we went to Yellowstone. I have never seen so many buffalo and definitely would not have, had she not mentioned it!
She has been a resident of Big Sky for over 20 years and knows most people and what is happening. If you go, you should take advantage of her knowledge of the area!
We were also graced with visits from a local fox daily and a mule deer. Dawn told us stories of the animals that have passed through her yard and some that were more than just passing through. If you go, ask her about "Smith and Wesson". It is a very touching story!
Over all...loved it! I would go back in a heart beat...and if you are considering this property...Go!

We had a relaxing getaway with everything that we needed. The host was wonderful, making sure that we had everything we needed.
We saw deer, fox and elk right outside our door! The view of Lone Mountain is amazing!
