I am a self funded retiree. I bought my first Apartment in the Grand around 2010 I liked the place so much that now I own three . I have one on the ninth floor with complete Water views, Ocean, Broadwater, Southport Seaway. This Apartment is also Holiday let. It is a little more $$ than the fourth floor Apartment. ( these Apartments are smoke free )

Everything is there. A short stroll down the water are more restaurants. " Beach Cafe" is on the first corner, where you can get bacon eggs toast breakfast for $4.50 Charis seafood is right outside the Grand beautiful fresh seafood display.

The unit was well equipped, beds firm and clean. Owner was very helpful with a hot water issue in the first 48 hours, very easy to contact and followed up to ensure the problem was fixed. Pool and gym area was fantastic, loved by our kids. Great location for travelling in and around the Gold Coast. Would happily stay here again.
Unaware when we booked that Homeaway would reserve the full amount (including security deposit) on our credit card, then charge the actual amount on top of that once the booking was confirmed, and it would take approx ten days for the original sum reserved on our credit card to be allocated back to us - when this was queried and I asked why it was not in the T's and C's that I read before booking, I was assured that the billing department were "aware" of this issue and "working on it." A real trap for families or people with limited credit. Also had to wait over one week after checkout for security deposit to be refunded. While the owner of the unit was wonderful to liaise with, I would not recommend booking via the company again. Many unanswered questions and poor communication also meant that our booking was somehow "cancelled" even after we had been charged for the room - only that the owner contacted me to ask why we had "cancelled" I would have had no idea. Again, much awkward communication with overseas callers to try and rectify why this error had occurred, with a mad panic three days before flying to confirm we still had a booking!
Wonderful Guests. Quite a relief from some I get from other agencies. It is so incredibly refreshing to do business with nice people. We hope to see Corrinne again. The Apartment was left clean and even a six pack of Corona for us!
This may be an opportunity to explain reviews on some agencies. When leaving reviews for Staff, this is meant to be a comment on myself and my wife, not the onsite staff at the Resort. We must explain this to all Guests from now on.
