On any given day there is only a hand full of people here which makes this feel like your own private beach!

And speaking of privacy, that is something you will certainly have while staying at #LACASA. #LACASA is perfect for the couple looking to have a romantic getaway or a family looking to enjoy the beach and all it has to offer. The property is a three story house surrounded by a ten foot wall built to North American standards which include the following:

First Level of #LACASA - pool, covered patio, BBQ area, courtyard
Pool Area:
- Fabulous freshwater plunge/dipping pool with a whirlpool bench area to lounge
in and enjoy the view of the ocean, perfect for kids to play in but not suitable to
swim laps
-Lounge chairs
-2 outdoor showers and a bathroom
-Great for lounging around after a day at the beach
Covered Patio:
-Great place to escape the sun
-Hammocks and rocking chairs for relaxing
-8 person dining table
BBQ Area:
-Wood/charcoal grill
-2 sinks with an area to also prep food

Second Level of #LACASA - 1 bedroom, kitchen, dining, and living area
Kitchen:
-Fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils
-Stainless steel appliances including stove top oven,
refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave, and toaster

Dining/Living Room:
-Outdoor porch with 2 rocking chairs (perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or to watch a sunset with a drink in hand)
-4 person table

Playa Marsella is a very tranquil spot. The beach is not frequented by many and it will feel like you will have it all to yourselves. This white sand beach is perfect for bringing your children to and not having to worry about monster waves. Additionally, there are bars/restaurants on either end of the beach as well as many within walking distance if you are interested in dining out but do not want to travel into town. There is also a food truck that comes twice a week and has all different types of fruits, vegetables, eggs, and other things.

Please also note:
-I have a couple who live at the back of the property full time in the guesthouse. They clean the house and do maintenance work on the premises. The guesthouse is a completely separate self-sustaining unit.
-This listing can accommodate 10 people max (including children).
-While 4x4 may not always be required, a car/truck with higher clearance is ALWAYS necessary, especially during the rainy season. We recommend having a car with a high clearance to avoid any issues crossing the small stream and the bumps/holes on the dirt roads. I also suggest to have 4x4 if possible.
-Lastly, due to the house's proximity to the ocean the well water is brackish and thus not suitable for drinking/cooking. We supply a 5-gallon jug of purified water to use for cooking/drinking in lieu of this.

ADDITIONAL RULES:
- Smoking is NOT allowed on the premises but feel free to smoke on the beach :)
- Guests should never add water to the pool
- As you are probably aware, the infrastructure in Nicaragua is not comparable to what you may typically be accustomed to if you are a foreigner traveling to this beautiful country. As such, you may experience power outages during your stay. When the power goes out there is also no wifi or water flow. This is just something we have to live with here and you should set your expectations accordingly. As this is something completely out of our control, we provide no refunds for power outages lasting less than 4 hours but rest assured we do everything in our power to try to get it fixed as quickly as possible. Aside from natural disasters, if the power does go out, it typically is back within a half day if not shorter.
- CHECKIN is from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM. If you arrive after 8 PM there is an additional $10 fee.
-CHECKOUT is at 10 AM. Assuming we do not get booked for a same day checkin we can do the late checkout. But just be aware that if we do get booked last minute you will have to leave at the normal checkout time regardless of if we had previously agreed to a different time. It is $15/hour for each extra hour should you want to extend your stay.
- As mutual respect for our neighbors, we ask our guests to be quiet from the hours 11 pm to 7 am.
- Lost or missing keys will cost $35 per key.
- Lost or missing towels will cost $25 per towel.
- Any booking receiving the monthly discount will pay a $150 cleaning fee and be responsible for paying 100% of their electrical usage.
-Guests are not allowed to flush papers down toilet. Everything must be disposed of in a waste basket.
-If a guest unplugs any of the security cameras monitoring the exterior of the property you will be asked to immediately leave the premises and will not receive any refunds (there are no cameras inside of the house)
