Right before my trip, Perú broke out into civil unrest. Five first world nations recommended canceling travel. Peru itself put its self under a state of emergency. I begged Jorge to cancel my reservation and he refused. I'm traveling abroad and was forced to show up because I didn't have additional monies to just give him $1000. I was robbed the first night I arrived. The neighborhood is in an area where taxi drivers will tell you to lock the doors and hide your telephones. When I got incredibly upset, Jorge finally canceled my reservation. But by that time, the airport had been shut down and I was stuck in Lima. By the time the airport opened back up I had contracted Covid. I was unable to enjoy my trip and was forced to stay in a more expensive apartment. The purpose of my trip was to explore Lima and see Machu Picchu. Jorge's greed and misrepresentation of the apartment ruined that trip for me. I'm not done dealing with this. This will probably end up very ugly before it's over. I'll see you and your family very soon, Jorge.
