About this property
Countryside Villa in Beautiful Nature - Pool, BBQ, Outdoor Kitchen, Mountains
CASA PERÁS is a very nicely designed and totally renovated country house, situated in the heart of the agricultural Catalonia. The house is surrounded by lawn and it is peacefully situated with only a few farms in sight. Nevertheless, the nearest village with a grocery store, café/restaurant, a bakery and a butcher is within walking distance. CASA PERÁS is characterised by detailed and careful decoration; everything has been thought of! On the ground floor is a lounge with fireplace and a large flat screen and a bedroom. On the second floor is 4 rooms
and a huge open kitchen/dining area.
The outdoor area is well used with the swimming pool and beach beds in one side of the garden and with the covered terrace, excellent on hot Catalan summer days, at the other. Additionally, the BBQ and the outdoor kitchen provide you with perfect conditions for outside cooking and dining. From the garden of CASA PERÁS, there is a nice view over the fields and on the other side, the Pyrenees rise in the horizon.
Catalonia - Spain: Catalonia, Spain has a distinct regional identity that borrows little form the rest of Spain. Catalans have their own language, and are intensely proud of their unique art, cuisine, folklore and long history. Ask the Catalans themselves and many will tell you that Catalonia is not a region but a nation. Not surprisingly, rivalry between the Catalans and the rest of Spain is an ongoing part of this country's history.
Catalans pride themselves on good eating too, and you will find some of Spain's finest restaurants here. Catalan food is typically Mediterranean, featuring olive oil as its staple component. As the region is so geographically diverse, it provides a variety of fresh high quality meat, poultry, game, seafood, fruit and vegetables and a great variety of wild mushrooms.
All in all Catalonia offers no end of opportunities for day trips and adventures, that together with its excellent communications, makes of Catalonia a top-class tourist destination in Europe.
Central Catalonia: Central Catalonia is situated where the Llobregat-river winds it is way from the Pyrenees down towards Barcelona. It is not heavily populated, and in the small town and villages you blend in with local life. The region is ideal for families or groups, who want a diversified vacation.
Most of all however, the region has, we found out, vacation houses of very high standard, carefully nursed by the owners, as they have been in the family for centuries, previously used for labour, in the days where agriculture needed more man-power, with all facilities you could think of, inside as well as outside. So many of the days, the car stayed in the carport and the time went with playing, swimming, reading and some nice meals from the barbecue accompanied with a glass of wine.
The landscape at the entrance to the Pyrenees is dominated by small rivers, hills, fields and forest. From almost any point, you have view to the steep Pyrenees that raise in the distance.
Activities: Finally Catalonia offers a wide range of activities to suit all ages and levels of fitness: Skiing (in winter), swimming, horse back riding, cycling, hiking, golfing, ... there are endless possibilities.

About the host
Hosted by Bertel Dahlmand Stahn
Lisbeth and I have for 14 years been travelling all over Catalonia to visit properties. We have selected those, which we found of very good standard and situated in authentic settings.
In the beginning, we mostly had Danish clients, but now we help people from all over the world to have a nice holiday in Catalonia in collaboration with our fantastic homeowners.
Our company SYDENS FERIEHUSE consists now besides us of our kind employees, Gustav, Emma and Mathias. We will all be happy to help you to a fantastic holiday!
Our philosophy is that a nice holiday consists of a nice holiday home and then some nice activities and excursions during the stay. We have made Activity documents for each part of Catalonia with our personal recommendations, and we will also be happy to help with any kind of question or request you might have. It is part of our service :-)
Kind regards,
Bertel Dahlmand Stahn (owner)
