A peaceful and incredibly spacious 3 bedroom mews house with a great decked roof terrace, a perfect private escape.
Tucked away within one of the most desirable locations of the Hyde Park Estate with no through traffic, listen out for the horses and ponies clip-clopping along the cobbled street past the windows from the local stables on their way to Hyde Park, the kids will love it!

As is typical of all mews houses, the property started life in the late 1700's as a coach house and stables with servants quarters above. The property once served the large Stucco fronted houses that overlook Hyde Park and is thought to have been converted in the early 1900's.

The property is ideal for families or a party of guests coming to see the sights and attractions of London.

The ground floor consists of a comfortable living room, spacious dining room with ample room around the table for 8, kitchen and guest loo/cloakroom.

On the first floor landing, there is a lovely bright sun room reception area, perfect for relaxing with a good book. Large sky lights, along with full length french doors enhance the natural light and indoor/outdoor ambience, especially in the summer months.

Three bedrooms, (including an en-suite bathroom leading off the master bedroom) and a large family bathroom are accessible from the sun room/landing. Two of the bedrooms are very large and spacious doubles with the third bedroom being much smaller, however, it still accommodates a double bed.

The top floor consists of a handy utility room with sink unit (perfect for alfresco dining) leading onto a secluded sun deck terrace, with views across the London skyline.

Although areas of the property are slightly dated, it is clean, spacious and extremely comfortable.

Hyde Park Gardens Stay

Very comfortable and convenient home in a wonderful neighborhood. We loved the easy walk to Hyde Park or restaurants near by and access to the tube. The host was very responsive to our questions.

The perfect spot!

My sister, mother and I LOVED our stay! Perfect location in charming and quiet mews. Only noise was the sound of horses clip clopping to/from Hyde Park. Delightful! Our host could not have been nicer, even leaving a birthday present for our mother (as this trip was a birthday celebration). Will 100% stay here again the next time in London!

Older property in need of some tlc but Location is hard to beat

While I appreciate this was a last-minute booking with a quick turnaround, I do feel the property should have been cleaned better. Overall, I would say it needs a very deep clean to bring it up to expected cleanliness standards. The location is very hard to beat! Paddington Station is less than a 10 minute walk so extremely convenient for visitors flying into London Heathrow, and getting the express trip into Paddington. We were able to wheel our suitcases along the street no problem. There is a lovely pub the Victoria within Stones throw of the property as well as several restaurants, again extremely convenient. We were also able to walk to many of the attractions we wanted to visit. We visited at an extremely hot time of year, which did make the house, particularly the second floor, unbearably hot at times due to a large glass roof area above the landing, which leads into all three bedrooms. I imagine in the winter this is very lovely but in the summer, it was literally like a glass house, just one electric fan for each bedroom. It was challenging to sleep at night. The rooftop was very lovely. It was part of the attraction for me booking this property and we did enjoy it. I would say that the property was well stocked with regards to pantry items and silverware, etc. it was also appreciated that a little basket of snacks was left for us to enjoy. This is a beautiful property in a prime location but it really does need a deep clean, along with renovation and upgrades.

Amazing property, great location

The house was spacious enough for 5 of us to all have a little space to relax after a long day of touring. Beautiful rooftop deck which my husband & I enjoyed in the evening. All new appliances. Two blocks to paddington station. Amazing pub 5 mins away. Can’t say enough good things! We loved it!

AVOID: Water damage & mould

We were a party of 3 with a baby. One of the adults took a shower and the water went straight down into the dining room and living room. Smell of mould was already strong in building beforehand. Property found unclean; personal items found in bedrooms and bathrooms. Plumbers came, sprayed latex solution that smelled toxic, left razors on floor, and one made seemingly hateful statements about Jews. The other said break-ins were common in the neighborhood. We decided to leave; the latex solution would not last the duration of our stay regardless. Islay, the proprietor, did not care and still has not refunded beyond a tiny, nominal amount. But our booking was for over two weeks! VRBO was unhelpful; I stayed up all night trying to find another spot to no avail. We left early the next morning, but have still been charged for an over two week long stay.

Perfect location

If you love London, you will love this location. Easy to access Hyde Park (5 min walk). Two easy to access London Underground stations. Paddington Trail Station is walking distance. Great sitting room, and kitchen area.

Great Location

We had a wonderful time over the Christmas holidays. The house came complete with a Christmas tree and numerous poinsettias. The house is quite roomy, with a living room, dining room, two nice sized bedrooms, and one smaller. Plenty of closets and storage space. The house is near Hyde Park and very convenient to both Paddington Station and the Lancaster Gate Underground. Numerous restaurants, coffee shops, stores etc. within walking distance. I highly recommend the place. May seek it out again on my next trip to London.
