This lovely lakeside home was a restful summer retreat. The home is warm and inviting with unparalleled views of the lake. If you are looking for a restful space to rejuvenate and feel close to nature, this is the place for you!
The views were amazing, we even saw a couple dolphins swimming just off the dock. The house was great and stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable trip.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ferry Breeze Beach House. It was relaxing and we enjoyed watching the ferries come and go. The house was clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows were great.
Great house and beatiful screened in porch overlooking the nuese river. Response time was incredibly quick and very accommodating during our stay. Can’t wait to come back!
The house location was fantastic - we had beautiful sunsets each night we were there, close to New Bern, with plenty of activities to keep you busy for a day. We toured the Tryon Palace and walked around downtown. At the house, the beds were comfortable, and the house layout was functional. Everything looked as though it had been recently remodeled. We would stay there again.
The absolute only issue is the proximity to the ferry. It is fairly loud and right next to this property; it starts at 6am and ends at 10pm. Everything else was great. The house was clean, it was nice and well worth the price. Beds were comfortable. Would stay again.
We visited family in New Bern and this was a perfect spot! The house was comfortable and clean with a beautiful backyard view that was relaxing. We watched plenty of natural wildlife on the porch. Surprisingly, we saw plenty of fish jumping, few dolphins, otters, and even a bald eagle grab a fish as we sat on the porch! This was a wonderful family vacation and the kids loved fishing off the dock! We may start a new tradition annually at this house because it was such an unforgettable experience! Thank you for sharing this beautiful home and experience!
The location and the home are beautiful, the perfect place for a family vacation. Communication with the host could have been better. Also, renters should be aware that people can come onto the property without warning. Our last day a property manager was there to do some work on the house which disrupted our last day trying to enjoy the peaceful, beautiful area.
This is a wonderful place to stay! It’s so spacious, clean, newly remodeled and stocked with everything you need and more. We were in awe of the amazing daytime and evening vistas of the water. You can relax and take in the views from the screened in deck, the outside deck and from the beach chairs along the waters edge. We caught fish from the pier in the back yard and also took the ferry adjacent to the house to fish and explore the Emerald Isle/Morehead City area.
The house was clean, in good condition, and well stocked. Listing pictures were accurate to our experience, and the view was stunning. Our first approach to the house was on a rainy night, so driving until the road stops and turning right on a dirt drive was a bit unsettling the first time, but trust the instructions - remoteness was exactly what we wanted. The local Dollar General had a variety of groceries (including produce!), and we HIGHLY recommend Brantley's Restaurant in Oriental & Charlie's Restaurant in Bayboro for good homestyle food priced affordably and served by friendly staff. We want to come back in warmer weather next year!
It was beautiful, loved staying there and fishing off the dock, not to mention the 2 stingrays that swam next to us at the dock , definitely a wonderful experience . Thanks so much
