Ideal location for visiting the city. The neighborhood is quiet yet lively, and away from the crowds of the city center. We really enjoyed the accommodation: small but very practical and perfect for a few days. It was clean and well equipped. Be aware that the walls are quite thin and you can hear a lot of street noise, so bring earplugs.Frances was very responsive and pleasant. Thanks again!

Die Gastgeberin war ein Goldschatz!wir kamen an meinem geburtstag an und sie hat mir einen magneten geschenkt, das zimmer war sehr sauber und das Bett war so gemütlich habe in meinen 26 Jahren noch nie so gut im Urlaub geschlafen! We were not far from Anne Frank house and the bikes were helpful to get to central station for tours etc. We enjoyed our stay but beware that the walls are thin and it can be quite noisy late at night. Otherwise great location and lovely host.

Francis was lovely and very helpful. The room is all you need although a bit squeezy. You share a toilet with Francis but that was fine. Own bathroom. Great location in lovely area. The only negative is it is very noisy - we were woken every night with people shouting and laughing loudly on the street which is right at the window. We used ear plugs for the final night. That is no fault of Francis just noting it so you bring some ear plugs with you if you want a proper sleep.

L’emplacement est idéal. En revanche, il s’agit d’une chambre, et non d’un logement indépendant. Devant le lit, on trouve une armoire contenant quelques ustensiles de vaisselle, ainsi qu’un mini-frigo et une cafetière posés sur le frigo. L’espace pour déposer les valises est très limité.Derrière le lit, se trouvent un évier et une baignoire/douche. Les toilettes sont à partager avec la logeuse.Il n’y a ni réchaud, ni micro-ondes, ni grille-pain. Contrairement à ce qui est indiqué dans l’annonce, il n’y a pas de salle à manger.À noter également que la logeuse nous a facturé 25 de frais de ménage à notre arrivée. Aucune clé ne nous a été remise pour verrouiller la porte de la chambre.Enfin, deux vélos étaient disponibles, mais nous avons dû gonfler les pneus nous-mêmes avec l’aide de la logeuse et sans aucun outil pour ajuster la hauteur de la selle. Ce n’était certainement pas des vélos dernier cri.

Great location in a nice neighbourhood about 15min walk from Central Station. Easy check in with Frances. While the room is on the smallish side is has everything you need, including a small fridge, coffee machine, kettle and plates and cutlery for meals. Bathroom is in an adjoining room and toilet across the hallway. We stayed 5 nights and had no problems with this at all. The bed is super comfortable, and the bikes came in very handy! We really enjoyed our stay!

Biking in Great Location

Frances is a warm and welcoming host. She welcomed us at the door on arrival showed us around. Her place is in a quiet neighborhood in the heart of Amsterdam. Everything we wanted to see was a short bike ride away using the bicycles she provided. Thanks Frances!

Two nights' trip

This seemingly small, but cozy, quiet and well equipped place, exceeded our expectations far more than once. Starting with comfy beds, full dining equipment, clean environment, possibility to use bicycles or keep our luggage there before leaving for our train — we're so greatful for all of it and so much more! It was a pleasure to meet such a nice person as Frances and stay at her place, where we felt safe and welcomed. This is definitely a place worth staying at and if we ever decided to visit Amsterdam once more, we'd like to come back to this place. Thank you very much!

Lage super, sonst schwierig

Kurz vorab, wir haben dort nicht übernachtet und eigentlich wollte ich keine Bewertung schreiben, da es schwer ist, rein faktisch zu bleiben. Aber da ich von der Vermietern bewertet wurde, muss ich mich äußern. Das Appartement war nichts für uns, das konnten wir aus der Beschreibung aber nicht im Vorfeld ersehen. Nach einigem Hin- und her wurden uns auch 2 Nächte von der Vermieterin erstattet, eine Nacht von der Agentur, eine Nacht mussten wir bezahlen. Man muss wissen, dass man sich mit der Vermieterin das WC teilt, das wurde uns erst in der Kommunikation im Vorfeld mitgeteilt.Ausserdem gibt es einen Hund in der Wohnung was nicht klar ist.Leider ist meine Freundin allergisch und wenn wir das gewußt hätten, hätten wir nicht gebucht. Dazu kam Pech, weil die kleine Straße direkt vor dem Zimmer komplett aufgerissen und eine laufende Baustelle war, auch das wurde uns im Vorfeld nicht mitgeteilt. Ok, dafür kann man nichts, aber eine Information wäre toll gewesen. Über was man sich klar sein muss; Das Zimmer liegt wirklich gut, es ist sehr klein (ca 3x4m!) und für einen längeren Aufenthalt fehlt Platz für Koffer oder Gepäck. Man kann es nicht zusperren wenn man weg geht, das ist seltsam. Die Bilder in der Anzeige sind alt. Die bikes waren nicht einsatzfähig, wir hätten selbst zu einem Fahrradladen gehen müssen. Einen "Essplatz" wie in der Anzeige zu lesen gibt es nicht. In der Nähe sind Restaurants, das soll wohl gemeint sein. Schade dass die Vermieterin unfreundlich wurde.

Habitación algo más pequeña de lo que parece en las fotos, con WC compartido. Colchón cómodo, buenas cortinas para quitar luz. Olor de sábanas y toallas algo raro.Mala suerte porque en la calle había obras y excepto el domingo, nos despertaban a las 7.30h con golpes y música.Ruido de viandantes por las noches, casa a pie de calle.El barrio con un encanto especial, muchas cafeterías y tiendas. A 18 minutos caminando de plaza Dam y estación central.Se paga un extra de 25 euros en mano por la limpieza. Cafetera tipo Nespresso con cápsulas y leche de cortesía.Nos ofrecieron bicicletas.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was a perfect location. It was not spacious but worked just fine. Francis made the check in process very easy and was a lovely host. We used the bikes one day.
