The good;The bungalow is in a great location, walking distance to town with a few shops, pubs and places to eat.It is as described with the main bedroom having an ensuite.The off street parking was a bonus.The kitchen had everything you needed. Plus there is a washing machine & a tumble dryer. The bad;The communication with the host was terrible.As was the property manager. Both were of no help whatsoever during our stay.When we arrived the property was not as clean as I would have hoped.The kitchen & bathroom surfaces needed wiping down & the toilets needed a good scrub due to lack of use. The bed in the main bedroom had not been made and the towels in the main bathroom were just thrown on the radiator. At first I was concerned there was already someone staying there! We couldn't turn the heating off in the front bedroom making it impossible to get a good nights sleep as it was too hot. The most concerning thing was that we did not have the key to the patio doors in the kitchen/diner area. This meant that we a) could not get out into the garden and b) could not get out in case of a fire. I spent the whole weekend trying to get both issues sorted to no avail. I just kept being told to give the owner 24hrs to respond. All very concerning especially as we had an 80yr old with us, who if needed to escape the kitchen would have had to climb on the kitchen work top and jump out of a window!Just not good enough.The property is lovely, but these things need to be addressed.
