Wonderful Retreat! The home is beautiful and very spacious. Located in a quiet neighborhood with a large deck that allows you to enjoy the peaceful evenings following a day of hiking in Yosemite. Highly recommended!

The house was very clean and spacious. The kitchen was large and well appointed. We had a large group and there was plenty of beds for everyone. Mark the host was available and quick to respond to any questions. The outside deck was huge with tables, chairs and umbrellas. It was very relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing for a family get away

We had a great time at Mudge Ranch. My family of 8 adults, 3 kids and a dog loved our stay. Its clean with all required amenities. Close to Yosemite and Bass lake, and Oakhurst. Electric vehicle charging at the property.

Family Get Together

Once again, our family had a fabulous time at Mudge Ranch Retreat. This is our third stay and we plan to continue booking this home in the future. Plenty of room for everyone to be together and also to spend me time alone from others when needed. Home is very clean, kitchen is well stocked, neighborhood is quiet and surroundings are beautiful.

Family fun time

Spent the weekend here at mudge ranch retreat. The place is gorgeous with plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen and dining area made it a perfect place for our big group, and the bbq patio area was such a great hang out spot! Space is very kid and family friendly. It is very clean and well kept, and has everything you need, from bedding to kitchen utensils, to coffee and blender. Host is also very kind and responsive! Would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking to visit Yosemite and Bass lake.Everyone in our group loved the space and is already wanting to come back again 😂

Best family house!

We loved staying at the mudge ranch. Everything in the house works great and the kitchen is beyond stocked. We were snowed in and enjoyed full two days of snow in the big back yard. All the kids loved sleeping in the loft together. We’d stay here again for sure!

Excellent stay, responsive management

We had a very enjoyable stay. This house was big enough for a group of 10 to enjoy being together and each have our own space as well. An issue arose when the coffee maker would not work, but that was taken care of same day for us! Could not ask for more.

Family Reunion Fun

Mudge Ranch Retreat was the perfect home for our family with lots of areas to gather; a huge kitchen to prepare our meals, a large deck to relax and enjoy nature, play games and of course, eat. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and if you forgot something, Vons and Raleys is a short drive away. Home was very clean, nice size bedrooms, plenty of parking in a quiet neighborhood. This was our second time staying in this home and everyone wants to return.

This home was extremely easy to find; iPhone maps took me straight there. BIG beautiful home to accommodate all of us comfortably. Kids enjoyed playin in the loft. I appreciated the jet bathtub in the master bathroom; helped relive my back pain. I had some slight difficulty with the tub jets as well as the BBQ grill outside. The owner was quick to respond an extremely helpful! Both were up and running in no time. My family and I created great memories together, eating, playing, taking walks and plenty of photos. Thank you for making this home available for us.

Perfect Retreat Setting! Even better than photos!

We booked this home to hold a womans prayer retreat at and we couldn't have picked the most perfect setting. The home has a perfect layout for people to spread out if needed but also to gather in an open spacious dining and living room to eat and fellowship. The kitchen is spacious which allows for space to prepare large meals and so no one is bumping into one another. In addition, a grill is available on the back deck which sits on a beautiful property surrounded by perfect shade and a gorgeous view. The home has a peaceful environment, clean, organized and inviting. All the women kept commenting, how nice this home was and how comfortable they felt. The home is fully equipped with views, entertainment and games, all you need is good food, and you are set! Mark made himself available and was gracious to allow us to check in early and check out late which relieved any stress of having to rush around.

Book this place!!!

This place is perfect for large families with little ones between ages 12 to 4 years old. The kitchen is a dream to the cooks in the family (the tap ontop of the stove was my favorite 😍). The high ceiling in the living area kept the area cool. The spacious bedrooms can fit 2 adults and 2 little ones on the floor with extra space to move around. The outdoor seating area had ample seating for large group and the grill easily grilled for all of us. The weather was perfect and it was a treat waking up to deers roaming the grounds. The yard in the back gives the little ones enough room to run around and expend the extra energy before bed. The home has enough bathrooms to accommodate large groups. The home is approximately 20 minutes from Bass lake and 1.5 hours from Yosemite (try to go to Yosemite on a weekday otherwise the trip in may take over 3 hours). Overall hands down my best vacation home so far (the family definitely enjoyed the stay). For those with younger children the stairs that lead to the loft (extra sleep and chill area for the kiddos) are a little steep so keep an eye on them or bring a mobile gate. Lovely home and the host was so nice 😊

Fantastic stay

This property was just as advertised. It was so roomy and comfortable. It had all of the comforts of home in an excellent location. The deck was a perfect place to have our meals for our whole family as it has two large tables with plenty of seating space. Bonus was an air hockey table that kept the family entertained. Beds were very comfortable as well. I had to contact the host for questions a couple of times and his response was quick and satisfactory. All in all, I would definitely stay at this property again.

Awesome place to spend time with family

Our family had an awesome time. House was clean, beautiful and cozy. Well supplied with needs such as toiletries, kitchen need. Well spent time at the deck for bbq and star gazing at night. Away from main areas, tucked away, yet close enough to get necessities.

Great times indoors and outdoors. Eight adults that could all find their peace and quiet when needed. Closest entrance to Yosemite Park was closed due to fires, so a little extra drive, but just thankful it got contained for all of the residents, first responders, and visitors. Spent a great day at Bass Lake.

Summer trip

We found everything to be exactly as it was detailed in the description. Entering the house was an easy process. Everything was labeled, from drawers to light switches, so we didn’t have to guess about anything. The home accommodated our family group of 12 very easily and we all had a great time making memories, visiting Yosemite and Bass Lake.
