About this property
The Root Beer Rendezvous. Luxury with a bit of whimsy. Not handicap accessible
Located in Southern Utah, Duck Creek Village is nearly on top of Cedar Mountain. If you love the outdoors you will love this hidden treasure getaway. This property sits inside Dixie National Forest ( ride your ATV out the driveway and you have 2 million acres to explore) near Navajo Lake (sometimes good fishing), Cedar Breaks National Monument, Brian Head Ski and Summer Resort (famous for no lift lines), and Panguitch Lake (consistently good fishing) are all within a 20 minute drive of Duck Creek Village. Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park along with the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument are each less than 45 minutes away. This is your base camp for day trips to some of the most amazing sights, parks and locations in the USA.
Local village with restaurants and groceries is just a few minutes away and through the forest on your ATV, dirt bike or Side by Side. There are more than 500 miles of ATV trails in our immediate area connecting to a system of over 2000 miles. ATV rentals are available in the village. ATVs and snowmobiles can be ridden from the cabin to the trail system, no trailer needed.
Although this cabin only has 2 bedrooms, we are willing to accommodate larger groups with notice. We have beds and pull outs for 8 people. The pull outs are high quality and actually comfortable, not the horrid bed with a bar in the middle that makes you end up on the floor for comfort. This cabin has over 2300 square feet and most of it is open. Great gathering area. We also have a fire pit right off the lower patio, perfect for roasting marshmallows. The upper deck (over 400 sq ft) is covered and right in the forest with large pine trees just a few feet from the railing and patio seating to enjoy the full outdoor experience without the weather. Deck has a smoker and a grill for your use. Spend a little quiet time on the deck or patio and expect to see deer, squirrels and an array of birds including the occasional turkey. Antelope summer in the meadow below.
Pool table for a family tournament in the walk out basement and a great video/sound system with a few movies in the same room. Bring your own DVD's or rent some in the Village. You'll want to have an excuse to ride over to the village anyway as its a fun way to see the area and the outdoors.
This cabin is made for ATVer's. Bring or rent your ATV's and enjoy exploring, playing, or just using it for transportation. When our family visits we park the car and only use ATV's or snowmobiles for transportation while on the mountain, even to go fishing or to the store. *The driveway is not plowed in the winter months and you will have to trek through the snow to access the cabin.

About the host

Our family comes from all over the nation and Canada. We wanted a central family retreat.
This is our family vacation home that we just started renting to others. We call it the Root Beer Rendezvous because we are 'root beer nuts.' We have lots of empty bottles, and usually, if we didn't drink them all, have a few samples left in the fridge for our guests to enjoy.

Why they chose this property
We originally purchased this as our getaway, but we couldn't 'get away' to it as much as we hoped and wanted to share this gem with others.
What makes this property unique
We viewed almost every property for sale in Duck Creek and couldn't find one with this much open space or beauty. Inside is beautiful and we just couldn't pass it up.
