About this property
Modern Rustic Cabin - 2BR/1BA + Kid-Friendly Bunk Room & Fireplace
Bring the whole family to this 2BR/1BA cabin on 9 wooded acres in Mountain, WI. The home’s thoughtful layout separates sleep and play, with a kids’ bedroom featuring 3 total beds (1 bunk, 1 twin) and a cozy adult bedroom nearby. Two gathering spaces include a living room and family room in order to give everyone room to relax. Families will appreciate the kid gear included, while couples will love the privacy of the property and the outdoor entertaining space. Adventure starts at your doorstep with direct trail access for snowmobiles and ATVs, plus nearby hiking and lake access.
The Space:
WildAire Retreat was inspired by years of family trips to the Northwoods that left lasting memories of simple, slow-paced getaways. Growing up vacationing in this area sparked a love for quiet mornings, time outdoors, and the kind of connection that only happens when you unplug for a while. We wanted to create a place where our own kids, and other families and couples, could experience the same feeling of slowing down, spending time together, and enjoying the beauty of the Northwoods in a comfortable, inviting space.
Tucked among the trees, the cabin is designed for comfort without losing touch with the Northwoods simplicity that makes this area so special. Start your day with coffee in the family room as the sun rises through the pines, or end it with a glass of wine by the outdoor fireplace while the sky turns to stars. Stretch out in the hammock, take a walk down the quiet road, or simply enjoy the stillness.
The cabin features a spacious, single-level layout that’s both functional and inviting. Two large bedrooms sit side by side, making it ideal for families or couples. The open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area offers plenty of room to gather, centered around a stone fireplace and framed by rough-hewn pine ceiling beams that add a modern rustic feel. A cozy family room lined with log walls provides a quiet place to read, play games, or just relax. You’ll also find an updated bathroom with a tile shower and generous vanity space, perfect for longer stays. Step outside to the covered patio, built with heavy timber beams and a stone fireplace, where you can grill, dine, or simply sit back and take in the forest around you.
Families will find plenty of space to make memories together. The kids’ bunk room brings a touch of camp-inspired fun, complete with books, toys, and practical gear like a pack-n-play, high chair, and step stool. Whether it’s a board-game night or s’mores under the stars, it’s a space meant for both comfort and play.
For those who love to explore, the cabin is in the heart of Wisconsin’s outdoor playground. We’re located near the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest with year-round recreation just minutes away from cross-country skiing and the Paul Bunyan ski hill in winter, to hiking, kayaking, golfing, fishing, and lake access nearby in warmer months. ATV and snowmobile trail access starts right at the end of our road, connecting you to an extensive network of trails through the Northwoods.

✔ Private 9-acre, wooded property with abundant wildlife
✔ Outdoor patio with stone fireplace and seating for stargazing or a quiet evening drink

A Note on Nature:
WildAire Retreat sits right in the middle of Wisconsin’s Northwoods which means fresh air, quiet mornings, and yes, the occasional bug, critter, or gust of pine-scented, pollen dust. We keep the place clean and comfortable, but nature does have a way of reminding you that you’re in her territory. If something comes up during your stay, just let us know and we’ll take care of it as quickly as we can.
Driving In The Area:
All roads to the cabin are well maintained, but during winter, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended. The driveway is plowed and sanded as needed.
Out of respect for our property and neighbors, no parties or large gatherings are allowed. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
If you have any questions before or during your stay, we’re always happy to help and want your time here to be simple, relaxing, and memorable.
