About the host
Hosted by Donny Dillard
Wahwahtaysee Resort was started by a local Austin family, Robert Dillard and his two sons, Sammy and Donny Dillard. They had a vision to create a local getaway for their family and friends to escape the city life and experience the great outdoors in the most comfortable setting.
After purchasing the property, we traveled to South Africa and truly fell in love. We decided that safari tents were the ideal way to allow our guests to enjoy 5-star hotel like amenities amidst the great outdoors. We invite you to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, and come swim or tube in the river, watch for shooting stars and fireflies, relax and listen to the sounds of nature, and watch the beautiful sunsets over the pasture.
We hope everyone enjoys Wahwahtaysee as much as we do.
- Robert, Sammy, and Donny Dillard
