We travel to Illinois to visit family at least once a year and we are thrilled to be the first guests at The Knight Inn, a very charming country house in Metcalf. The house is wonderful with a combination of modern updates and original decorations and stories from the family going back to 1949. What started as a means to an end to visit family turned into one of our favorite stays. House has been redone with a lot of care to be ready for guests. It is in the middle of farm country and the hosts provided some basic food and snacks. We were visiting family but would also come back here to enjoy peace and quiet to get away. Front row seat to country sunrises and sunsets. Highly recommend, read the history and then relax and take a load off.
