About this property
Cool Loft Meets Irish Cottage & Sauna Wicklow Town
About this space
As featured on Home Of The Year 2025 on Irish television as chosen as 1 of the top 21 homes in the country
Totally restored with the minimum of intervention to let the beautiful building do the talking. Upstairs feels like a NewYork loft while downstairs a traditional Irish cottage.
Location
Only 150m from the beach & the bustling Main Street in Wicklow town, 100m from the bus stop for Dublin and the airport.
Use as a base to explore the rest of the greenest and prettiest county in Ireland.
The space
The house has a chilled out vibe.
Enjoy drinking a glass of wine after warming up with a delicious sauna after your sea swim or stunning cliff walk. Stroll down to the fishing port and town's many many pubs and eateries. Gorgeous array of small boutiques, award winning bookshop, incredible wine store and other lovely country style outlets.
Breakfast supplied for your first two mornings, to include Irish soda bread and a host of goodies. Free old fashioned Barrys AND Lyons tea, and Nespresso coffee throughout your stay, along with some soft drinks and maybe the odd pack of sneaky biscuits.
Guest access
Two storey house is all yours to enjoy. Downstairs is the country style kitchen, with a log burning stove and oven. It's quirky, open plan and perfect for having the chats. The bathroom also has a two person sauna and power shower. There is a small outside space with seating and BBQ. Nice for both a morning coffee, catch a few rays peeping through and an evening glass of vino.
Upstairs, this is where the magic happens (MTV cribs reference for those old enough to remember!). A double bedroom with comfortable seating area overlooking the working port. Plenty of ambient lighting, perfect for a cosy night in practising the magic (!) or simply enjoying a good book.
Explore the rest of Wicklow (highly recommend the walking the Wicklow Way for truly spectacular world class scenery) or Dublin from your base in Wicklow Town and enjoy the amazing Irish pubs and food offerings and the great people.
Other things to note
We will do everything we can to make sure your stay is a good as possible. We do not skimp on clean fresh towels because there is nothing more annoying than a damp towel on day two!
