Condo was spacious and quiet. The interior needs to be updated from the 80’s. Also in need of renovation as wallpaper was peeling and carpet was old. Several light switches were broken and tile in bathroom was cracked. Also, the ROKU remote was missing which made watching TV frustrating. The Chetola grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed the restaurant.
Love Chetola but was a bit disappointed we couldn’t access fishing poles because they stayed checked out our entire trip. Our condo was nice but didn’t have a lot of extras in the kitchen. And the heated pool was cooler than expected. I’ll definitely stay at Chetola again but I’d do a few things differently

The unit could be beautiful but it looks tired/old and needs a refresh. We were there 3 nights and had to have maintenance in 3 times to repair the main floor toilet. I reported to Chetola Guest Services that while we were out shopping someone came in and removed a dining room chair without letting us know. When I rented the unit I assumed all furniture would stay as is. I’m extremely upset with someone coming in a unit I have rented without letting me know ahead of time or even after. Chetola could not have cared any less. Will not be renting condos there as I have done for probably 15 years.

Lovely setting but run down interior
We have been staying at various properties on Chetola for at least a dozen years. We selected this place based on its proximity to the trails and quiet setting. We paid significantly more than we have for other properties at Chetola and photos looked good. The setting did not disappoint. Unfortunately, the home was very run down. The wallpaper peeling off the walls, rusty HVAC registers, stains all over the walls in all rooms. It just felt unclean. At that price point, we expected a much more premium property.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Condo was neat and clean, spacious and relaxing. Chetola amenities, Timberlake restaurant and bar, the firepit and s’mores were an added bonus! We love chetola resort!
