The home was built in 1870, it is part of Ogunquit's Historical Preservation Commission.
It is the "Big Sister" to the tiny house located on property, also for rent when available.

Kate Layman (little sister) works for the Winchester, Massahusetts School System.
Lisa Ciampa-Hurley (big sister) owns and operates Simply Sisters, a screen printing business in Woburn, Massachusetts.
Our family spent our summers in Ogunquit, in this beautiful family home. My Mom would have the car packed and ready to go. Mom picked us up on the last day of school. She drove us straight to Ogunquit for the Summer.
As children we made friends for life. Many of our childhood friends remain in Ogunquit, it is easy to keep in touch, they stop by and sit on the porch to catch up. Our Mother brought us to Ogunquit Beach everyday, rain or sun. There was always something to keep us busy.

Why they chose this property
My parents purchased this home many years ago. My Dad was the owner of Ogunquit Pharmacy.
Later in life, after retiring from his career as a Pharmacist, my parents purchased two boutiques in town.,
My Mom split her time between two successful shops...Fig Leif, a women's summer sportswear and bathing suit shop, originally located at the Beach and Jeremiah's, a men's sportswear shop on Shore Road.
Visitor's to Ogunquit most likely have shopped in my Mother's Boutique's.
If you have visited Ogunquit you have passed our house on the way to Perkins Cove, the Beach and to the entrance of the Marginal Way. Perhaps you have been one of the photographer's catching a shot of our family having coffee on the front porch as you stepped out for your morning walk.... or you may have seen us enjoying an afternoon cocktail on the porch as we sat unwinding, watching the countless families pulling wagons full of beach gear and sleeping children home for a shower after a long beach day.
Ogunquit is magical.... as is our beautiful home!
