This house was designed and built by my husband himself, with all his love. Every detail, from the carefully selected bricks to the flower vases and plants, reflects our dedication. My husband even hand-carved nameplates for the house and each bedroom. This set of photos was also taken by us. They may not be as glamorous as other homestays with professional photographers, but I believe viewers will feel the love and care we put into our home.
Prime Location
Located in an extremely convenient location, it's only a 10-minute walk to the Japanese Covered Bridge - a world-famous symbol of the ancient town. Just 300 meters away is the poetic Thu Bon River, where you can immerse yourself with the locals fishing every afternoon. If you want to experience a traditional Vietnamese market, just walk 400 meters to Vien Giac Market - the busiest local market in the ancient town area. Located right in the center of the ancient town, there are many restaurants around, from affordable to luxurious. If you need to find a hair salon or relaxing massage, just walk 50 meters to a street specializing in massage services.
Quiet in the City
Although located right in the center of the ancient town, due to being located in a small, winding alley typical of Vietnam, the house still ensures absolute tranquility. Waking up in the morning, stepping out onto the balcony, you can admire the gently sloping tiled roofs of the ancient town, listen to the crowing of roosters and the singing of birds from the surrounding gardens.
Spacious and Airy Living Space
Due to the limited land area of over 200m2 in the inner city, we cannot make the bedroom and bathroom wider, but in return, the common living space such as the living room and dining room is very spacious and airy.
Full of Natural Light and Coolness
All spaces in the house have natural light, from the bathroom, stairs, bedroom, living room, and dining room. The house uses a lot of natural wood, so it is warm in winter and cool in summer due to its good insulation properties.
Relax and Rest
You can soak in your private pool or relax in 3 hot tubs after a tiring day exploring the enchanting streets of Hoi An. We provide 100% cotton bedding and mattresses with attached toppers, making them extremely comfortable.
Culinary Paradise
If you want to enjoy local dishes right at home, we have prepared a fully equipped kitchen with a spacious dining table for you to experience. You can also learn to cook dishes imbued with Vietnamese culture here such as Spring Rolls, Banh Xeo. We can arrange cooking classes so you can learn how to cook authentic Vietnamese dishes.
Honoring Vietnamese Handicraft Art
We have incorporated many Hoi An handicraft products into the construction and decoration of the house: The entire exterior of the house, nearly 500m2, is covered with 2000 handmade ceramic tiles from Thanh Ha Pottery Village, Hoi An. More than 100 lanterns in the house are made by our neighbors. We also try to bring in products from traditional villages across Vietnam: such as conical hats from Phu Vang Village, Hue; quai thao hats from Chuong Village, Hanoi; brocade paintings, hand-embroidered bedspreads from Cat Cat Village, Sapa; flower pots made of pottery from Mang Thit Village, Vinh Long; teapots, bowls, and plates from Bat Trang Village, Hanoi...
Staying at our house is like stepping into a Vietnamese art exhibition space, bringing a unique cultural experience that you won't find anywhere else.
A Paradise for Art Lovers
If you are an art lover, this will be a miniature exhibition for you to enjoy. The mezzanine has 3 6-meter-high hand-made reliefs. The 100% wooden spiral staircase is also a remarkable work of art. The ground floor space with more than 30 landscape paintings from all over the country will amaze you every time you enter the house.
An Unforgettable Hoi An Experience
With all the dedication we have put into the house, we firmly believe that it will contribute to bringing you wonderful experiences on your upcoming Hoi An trip. Thank you for your trust and choosing us to accompany you. Wish you have a wonderful vacation in Hoi An!
