The house is in a great location, however it does need some updating inside, bathrooms especially and the air vents looked like they had black mold. Overall a good option price wise but felt a bit uncomfortable with how outdated some of the rooms are.
The best part was the sunrise, and direct access to the beach. Yes, there are nice chairs out on the deck and happened to be beach chairs to use stored inside the screened in patio. Beds were comfortable. Tons of clean white towels. The couches are now leather like which is cleaner than fabric. There are some things that need tending to, like the dirty doors near the door handles and maybe some bleach around the toilet because it smelled just a little. Overall pretty clean. Very roomy. My one suggestion would be to put solar lights next to the steps. When you turn off the parking area lights, you can’t see walking to or up the steps. Nice quiet relaxing location. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you so much for sharing your detailed feedback. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful sunrise, direct beach access, and the comfortable beds. It's great to know the leather-like couches and ample clean towels added to your comfort during your stay. We appreciate your thoughtful suggestions regarding the doors, toilet cleaning, and adding solar lights near the steps. We will be sure to pass these along to our local team to help enhance the experience for future guests.
We're thrilled that you found the location quiet and relaxing, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another wonderful stay.
Upon arrival the door key code did not work. We called and texted the day time number for help. No one ever answered the phone after numerous rings. Luckily while waiting for a response and my husband found a lock box that he was able to figure out how to open with part of the numbers given for the key pad. It wasn’t until after we were in the rental that someone finally text us a different code than the original code that was sent. This was at least 30 -40 minutes after the fact. The fireplace was not available for guests use, although it did not say that in the information when looking to rent. It showed the fireplace lit in the pictures. The fireplace was a huge part of our decision on choosing this location. The exhaust fan in one of the bathrooms made a loud “squealing” noise when turned on. The location was amazing though.
This property was an excellent choice for us. It was close to the beach, as well as local restaurants and shops. We visited Charleston during the day for some sightseeing and culture but looked forward to returning to a Cool Place to take part in what it had to offer. We cooked during our stay and it had everything and more that we needed. There were card games, board games, and books...nice size tv's to watch, and a huge deck to hang out on. The property was clean and we really enjoyed it. We would definitely stay again.
We had a great family vacation at Turtle Watch II. Loved the location. This house has everything needed for a good time. Our family talked about it at the end of the trip and noted that we had stayed in “fancier” houses over the years but this was our favorite house we could remember.
This property was just as listed and exactly what we needed for a quick weekend trip. The space was very roomy and the views were beautiful. We did not get to enjoy the beach much due to the cold weather but it was still lovely getting to wake up to the water and most beautiful sunrises. The beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. We would definitely book again!

Sweet Spot
Once we got electricity on the 2nd day everything was perfect as we expected. We hadn't expected to have a community power outage when we arrived and stayed in a hotel for the first night. The owner nicely refunded our hotel expense. Right on the beach with beautiful sunshine.
This property presents very well and is easy to live in. It's not close to town and is quiet and calm (we were here in early April). It's very well placed to walk to and visit the Morris Island Lighthouse and its park. We had a couple of minor issues which were handled quickly by the nicest fixer-man.
I definitely would stay here again!

Hi, Ellen, thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback.
Please know that this is not commonplace, and we thank you for calling in order for local staff to promptly resolve these issues. We look forward to your next stay!
Although the house itself could use some updating and some general maintenance projects were past due, the house itself was clean and adequate for our stay. The view was great and being about 10 min from the downtown area was also convenient.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us! We are glad you enjoyed the view from your home. We appreciate your feedback and I have forwarded it to the owner so they can review and update the home for future guests. We look forward to hosting you again soon!
The batteries were dead for the deadbolt so it took over 20 minutes to get into the house (at 11pm when we arrived). That was frustrating but the staff was very responsive and helpful and didn't stop until we got in! Life happens, thankfully we got in the house and they fixed it on Monday. The location was PERFECT! The house had everything we needed and was great for a family with kids and adults. The dryer made an awful noise but we were warned it needed to be looked at and told it was safe to use, it was just loud (like nails on a chalkboard). But we figured out how to make it quieter (less clothes less noise).Overall, I'd recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay at Folly with their family! We love the houses on the beach and would gladly stay here again!

Family spring break
We are regular Folly-goers and love the property location. It is so convenient and on the quieter end of the beach. The house was not entirely as pictured. There was no outdoor lounge furniture as pictured. The outdoor dining table was broken, but there were three plastic chairs around it. Cleanliness wise, there was mold and slime under the sink and mold in the air vents. The house could use a refresh. The location and proximity to the beach was definitely the best part.
