Beautiful Buxton townhouse with ocean view - pool access, washer/dryer & AC

New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Build a beautiful resort village on a favorite Hatteras Island location, and they will come! The Cottages at the Cape are the closest rental units to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton. They share a long border with the national park and are literally steps from the beachfront. Bring the bikes, because Buxton's unique shops, restaurants, and lighthouse are all very close. Forget the 4WD vehicle - those in the know have discovered that the jetties east of the cottages produce some of the best fishing, surfing, and swimming on this island. Walking to the south will take you to open beaches, the famed Cape Point, and if luck is on your side during the summer, a few sea turtle nests (be careful to stay outside the barriers). The interior has been professionally decorated with comfortable and fun beach décor. You'll have access to an outside shower and a patio. An escape to the cape never looked so good as at Cottages at the Cape.

THINGS TO KNOW
This unit is currently under new ownership and has been completely renovated with all new furnishings, paint, flooring, and appliances.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically.
Guests can enjoy access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open from mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

This was our second time staying in the cottages at the Cape, first time in Conch. The home was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the ocean views and sounds from the screened in porch during meals and in the mornings with coffee. The only complaint is the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Looking forward to trying another townhouse in the future!

Had a great week at this house. The beach to right of the house was open this year. It was closed when we were at the house last year. The point was closed due to bird nesting which was disappointing but only the National park service can make decisions on that. We would definitely stay in this house again or another in the same community. We loved being able to see and hear the waves from the house.

The property was as described. Though; the cabinets were empty of basics like salt and pepper. The cabinets were completely bare. The cleaners need to leave the weekly basics behind. This isn't specific to this property. It's an issue with the property management.

The house is in a great location just a few yards from the beach. the screened in porch is nice. We didn't get to use it much because of the hot weather. Plenty of storage on the bottom floor for all the beach and fishing stuff which we bring alot of. We have been coming to OBX for over 30 years and this is the first time we rented a townhouse with one other unit attached and everything went really well. We definitely would rent again.

Great Home for the Week

We enjoyed our stay and the short walk to the beach. The house was clean and rooms set up well. The kitchen was lacking a few key items for cooking, but we made due with what was there. The non-stick pans were actually not wrecked by previous guests which is a rarity in rental homes. I wished there was a fish cleaning station outside which is pretty much standard issue at every house in OBX. All the homes around were clean and well kept, neighbors were quiet and friendly. We would certainly keep this house in as a potential to stay at again in the future.
