Semi-oceanfront house with private pool, hot tub, & ocean views

New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Enjoy is a sandcastle with all the comforts of home. All floor elevator opens to ample parking, two carports, landscaped yard, charcoal grill, all-weather entries, enclosed outside showers with dressing rooms, pool shower, and foot bath. You're also close to the beach boardwalk! Relax inside with a pool table, wet bar, fridge, games, and featured DVDs and videos. Watch the action around the private pool and basketball goal from the second floor porch. This home is beautifully decorated through and through with lots of glass windows for ocean views. With wide ocean-side decking, a covered picnic area, ample wooden deck furniture, a poolside hot tub, and a second wet bar (the first one's inside!) with ice all keeps the party rollin' at Fish Tales.

Things to Know
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

The private pool is open seasonally from 4/26/2025 and closes 10/12/2025. Dates are subject to change.

Wonderful house for a wonderful beach retreat!

Great place! One row back from the ocean, very close to the public boardwalk entrance. The owners have supplied the house with everything you can imagine- including well stocked kitchen, games, books! Rooms were clean, everything was well cared for. Plenty of chairs inside and out, which is greatly appreciated!

This house was perfect for our family. Nice large open top floor with plenty of room for everyone to sit and enjoy a meal. Located on a quiet side street with very low traffic. Very short walk to the beach. Also loved the pool area.

Another great vacation stay in Fish Tales

This is a perfect vacation house for our family. It has easy beach access, a pool, a game room and a wonderful large open living room, kitchen, dining space. It is well maintained and very well equipped especially in the kitchen. We have stayed in Fish Tales each of the past 3 years. It is close to the grocery and many good eateries.

We had a group from age 4-74. Between the swimming pool, being close to the beach access, having a pool table, an elevator and a super well equipped kitchen everyone was happy!

Wonderful house and location, but…

The house has everything you need and more. We have stayed here for a week for about 5-6 years now. The dishwasher was broken two of those years. The repair service never showed up even with multiple requests. We have enjoyed staying here but the price increases of 25% for the last few years have priced us out and we’ll be staying somewhere else in Avon next year.

The owner provides liquid dishwasher soap instead of pods, as they find it works better with the appliance. Perfect House

House was great for our large family, from the great-grandparents to the great grandchildren. Variety of bedrooms and beds, as well as baths. Wonderful decks, shaded and sunny. Good views of the ocean from the top deck. Elevator was great for us great-grandparents, as well as bringing in groceries. Cooking was ideal in the great kitchen. Hatteras is our favorite place to be. George & Susan

Fish Tales, good location

Fish Tales is across the road from beach front cottages and is only a couple houses away from a walk over to the beach. With the fishing pier close by, it offers many beach amenities. The pool and hot tub were great. Unfortunately, the dishwasher was broken when we got there and we went the whole week without it. That was a major bummer! Though the rental agents tried to get it repaired it was not as of the time we left.

Great house in a great location

This was a really nice house with a brand new decking/balconies and it was probably the most well stocked house we have ever stayed in. It is close to the beach walkway. We lucked out and the beach nourishment project had not moved to that are of the beach until then day before we left. I'm sure the people there this week are not happy, but it was easy to drive to the beach opposite Canadian Hole. We just parked at Canadian Hole and walked across the street. We were on the beach every single day. The house also had a really nice pool. We would go back definitely.

Maybe our last year..

We love this house, the layout and location. Hoping the owners will fix some of the things that make it challenging. Toilets need replacement, either running constantly or tanks not filling, ice maker not working. Dishwasher on last legs. Elevator not working. It’s a great house so I hope the owners will invest in its upkeep or we will have to choose another house. Avon is a magical place.
