I recently stayed at the home with 5 other women for a girls trip. We enjoyed the location and amenities of the home. The group greatly appreciated the lovely box of candy that was left for us by the owners. Alejandro was there at our arrival to greet us, give a tour and to answer questions. Yolanda kept in constant contact with me prior to the trip and during the trip to answer any new questions that had arisen. I appreciated the prompt and welcoming nature of her responses. Thank you for providing us with a place to create new memories!

We had a wonderful experience having Christine and the rest of her group staying with us. Christine has a delightfully positive attitude, and communication with her was easy and a real pleasure at all times. The house was spotless upon our return too, which we greatly appreciated. We would trust her with our home again anytime! Thank you :)

Great mountain house 50 miles from NYC!! AMAZING VIEW!!!!
Just came back from a weekend at Yolanda's and Alejandro's house. The house is on the top of Mt. Peter and has an UNBELIEVABLE view, totally open for miles and straight to the sunset. The house is very comfortable (we were 8), everything works and the porche is the ideal place to hang out and take it all in during the summer! For the winter the house is perfectly located to go skiing at the family-friendly Mt Peter. Yolanda and Alejandro are wonderful hosts, truly welcoming, friendly and caring. We went to Pennings for lunch based on their recommendation, the perfect place for a summer lunch at the Beer Garden with kids - they even have a petting zoo!

Martin, we loved having the opportunity to meet you all upon arrival, including your lovely dog. Alejandro and I are elated to know that you felt comfortable at the house and made the most out of the surroundings. It was a real pleasure to have you and your family as our first guests!
Less than a 90 minutes drive with traffic makes this location fantastic for a NYC getaway. We were 2 families with small kids and it was a perfect layout - one family upstairs and one downstairs. There is only one fan in the house, no AC. One night the upstairs was very very hot and uncomfortable but the other nights the evenings cooled off. The yard is awesome and great for kids to run around as it is flat and not sloped. There are toys for kiddos and a TV with streaming video. Fully equipped kitchen for cooking at home and a gas grill for a cookout. Beautiful views from the house. Two minutes up the road is Bellvale Creamery with amazing home made ice cream and a gorgeous view over the valley. We were close to Greenwood Lake and went to one of its beaches for a dip. Close to the town of Warwick for restaurants, supermarket, etc. Yolanda was quick to respond to any question we had. Highly recommend!
We were here for a local wedding. The owner’s were very responsive with getting us extra fans for an unexpected heat wave. Our family loved the porch with its lovely view, the backyard with a toddler pool and the comfy house. It was perfect for us. They left us some milk, cereal and coffee which was wonderful.

Kathleen and her family were absolutely wonderful all along, more than I could convey in a few sentences here. They were respectful and appreciative towards the property, but she was also kind, funny, and flexible. The house was cleaner (if possible) than we left it, and the communication was always easy and effective. We loved hosting them and we hope to remain in contact. We wish the Eppersons all the very best!

Great Place to stay!
Our family stayed here for a Christmas weekend together. Yolanda & Alejandro could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The house had plenty of room for all of us and everything we needed for a fun weekend with our children & grandchildren. We did not venture out too much but I would love to go back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the wonderful view from the porch and back patio! Thank You again for letting us use your home!

Thank you! We were glad to hear that you had a pleasant stay with your family. While we love spending time at the house in winter to be close to winter sports locations, for casual tourism or family reunions, the surroundings are even more beautiful from April through mid-November. Wishing you all a wonderful 2019!

Thank you so much, Susan! It was a real pleasure to meet you and your sweet daughters. Having my own siblings away, it made me very happy to know that the house served to bring you and your sister and all the cousins together. You would all be welcome back anytime.

Beautiful and secluded home in the woods for a perfect weekend
To start, Yolanda and Alejandro went above and beyond making our group feel welcome and comfortable. We came for a getaway friend reunion weekend to check out the fair along with some hiking. Their recommendations for the area were fantastic but we ended up spending most of our down time on the amazing wrap around porch (the view is superb) or in the lush backyard. Everything was amazing and we would more than happy stay here again as well as recommend to friends and family.
Thanks for everything you guys!

Max, thank you so much for the kind words! We loved interacting with you and were equally thrilled to know that you all had a good time at the house. It was our first time having so many adults stay at the same time and did not know what to expect. However, you were all incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. Here's to good friends from different states coming together!
About the host
Hosted by Yolanda and Alejandro
We are outdoor enthusiasts who treasure quality family time and are determined to make the most out of our city-country living. While our professional lives keep us tied to Manhattan, we love skiing, hiking, and swimming in the Warwick area whenever we can.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the area when a friend invited us to spend a weekend over six years ago. Since then, we have been visiting regularly for apple picking or outdoor sports. We did not stop looking until we found the house of our dreams.
What makes this property unique
The view and sunset is overwhelmingly beautiful. Looking Northwest from the top of Mt. Peter, you can see In the distance High Point Monument in Sussex County, NJ. On a clear sky, you can see the Shawangunk Ridge at the horizon which extends from the northernmost point of NJ to the Catskill Mountains. You get all the privacy at the house too, thanks to the surrounding trees and hidden driveway.
