We made a last-minute weekend trip to Blue Ridge Lake for paddleboarding. The home wasn't quite ready when we arrived, but our host, Nathan, let us know ahead of time. Although he was still finishing up when we got there, he was super nice and extremely thorough with the cleaning. He also went above and beyond to help us—getting us dry wood when we struggled to start a fire in the fire pit, and making sure the hot tub was clean and ready when my son asked about it. We were so glad he was there and would definitely book again if we’re in the area!

Our stay for a girls weekend was excellent. I would highly recommend this location. It is gorgeous, relaxing, (we were visited by several deer), and comfortable. One note, I know the owner is working with the community to update the water filter system, but it would’ve been nice to know that the water has excess iron in it. It is safe to drink, but we would’ve brought more drinking water if we had known.
