This rental worked perfectly for our family of 5. It was near retardants and in a quiet neighborhood. Very easy to walk to the Metro and also walkable to the zoo. The space was clean and had plenty of room for us to spread out. They even provided coffee, extra toilet paper and laundry detergent which were nice amenities to have.
This is not a kid friendly property. We received noise complaints for children crying and laughing. If you plan on staying at this place you MUST be quiet as a mouse at all hours because you will get a noise complaint. There is no laughing, crying or listening to music on the television at a normal volume. In fact don’t even watch tv. Also this is a basement. It is not listed as a basement on the booking page. I booked without knowing that it was a basement and the host sent that it was a basement the day after check in. I booked thinking that it was a separate apartment but they don’t tell you that it is not until after you get there. The “guests” above us were obnoxious. They went around stomping and banging on the door every time they thought we were loud. I would suggest not booking a stay here if you have kids that like to laugh or cry a lot because they will complain stomp and bang on things. The quiet hours are from 11pm to 7am but they really mean quiet hours are 24/7.Our trip was not good because we had to tell our kids that they could not laugh, they had to listen to the tv really low so they they had to sit so close their ears could touch it, and if they were scared or upset they could not cry. Imagine telling a kid who is in pain that they can’t cry or that they have to suck it up so that they won’t disturb the other people. This is the perfect place for families that have children that do not do anything but sit and stare at each other or tablets
