Westview Retreat - 2 Bed 2 Bath home on the Mississippi River

This home is located on the Mississippi River and has an open floor plan with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was once an earth home, which gives the home a cozy, cottage type feeling. The front of the home is floor to ceiling windows (with blinds) so you can enjoy the river view. Please note: our interior and exterior stairs are steep and because of the age and design of our home, we are not ADA accessible. Please be careful and watch your step! Entry is through the garage. Free parking is on site.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please take all leftover food from the refrigerator and cabinets. Please wash & return all dishes/glassware/utensils/cookware, etc. There is no dishwasher.
Please empty all garbage into garage receptacles. We recycle! Please leave strip bedding and leave in room. Please place used towels in bathroom Please turn off all lights & lock doors upon exit.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
One time pet fee applies, $50 per stay. Service dogs are welcome, please notify us if a service dog will be joining you during your stay
No smoking or drug use on the property, including the home and garage space. Failure to comply may result in additional cleaning/ odor remediation fee

First time staying here & already looking to come back!! Owner was very responsive to my questions (quicker than I expected). Beautiful, right on the river...loved watching the wildlife; & didn't know the White Pelicans would be there! We are used to seeing them every Spring in Antioch, IL. Definitely felt like our home away from home. Might have to make it a tradition every year!

The view this property offers is fantastic. There is a wall of windows facing the water and we enjoyed watching the wildlife. This house was very clean and spacious. The host has this property stocked with everything you could need and then some. The kitchen is especially well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, small appliances, towels, paper products, etc. The beds are the very comfortable, better than any other property I’ve rented. There are plenty of extra pillows, sheets and blankets if needed. The air conditioning worked great and the water was nice and hot when showering. The bathrooms had plenty of toilet paper, towels, hand soap, and shower gel. There are hair dryers and flat irons in the bathrooms.The hosts are extremely nice and responded very quickly to any messages we sent. If you are looking for a peaceful place with great views, and with hosts that value their customers, the Westview Retreat is it.

On the banks of the Mississippi River, the views are constantly changing and always stunning. Surrounded by nature, there is aways wildlife to see and in the late fall until spring, the eagles come to nest and are spectacular to watch.

What makes this property unique

Steps from the water there is always something to see and do and sportsmen, bicyclists and hikers find it's the perfect spot to get away. Want to cozy up, drink coffee or cocktails and do nothing? We're a great place for that too!
