About this property
Boho Charm, Historic 1br -Steps to downtown
Summary:
This charming boho 1-Br apartment is a great find. Private entrance with a full bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen, we have worked to provide modern comforts and all the amenities you’ll need. Only 3 blocks from Historic Downtown Melbourne w/Old Florida charm galore, an eclectic array of art, cuisine and shops. Hardwood floors, large windows and original woodwork give this home old-world charm, and modern amenities in the small, but well-equipped apartment.
The Space:
You will be staying in a renovated 1926 Spanish Colonial Revival building steps from Historic Downtown Melbourne. On a quiet, neighborly street, the Lincoln Guest House is within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, shops and the Indian River. The Indialantic beaches are only three miles away.
Only three blocks from Historic Downtown Melbourne which offers quaint shopping, dining and drinks. The Indialantic beaches are only three miles away, just over the causeway. When not out exploring the area, there’s is a large screen TV in the living room (and one in the bedroom) and lots of cozy seating. Roku TVs with cable and Netflix (smartTVs).
Unit C is on the 1st floor with a private entrance on the side of the building. When not out exploring the area, there’s is a large screen TV in the living room (and one in the bedroom) and lots of cozy seating. Roku TVs with cable and Netflix (smartTVs). Large windows provide tons of natural light but furnished with blinds for shade and privacy. A door closes off the bedroom from the other living areas. The kitchen is simple, but all the basics are included.
Guest Access:
There are four one-bedroom units in the Lincoln Guest House. Other guests are likely to be onsite, but your own entry and large front and back yard offer privacy and separation.
The Neighborhood:
This 1 br apartment is located in an older, historical neighborhood with neighbors that take great pride in their street and community. It is a great location for business travelers, vacationers and Florida Institute of Technology visitors.
What's Nearby: two-and-a-half miles to the Melbourne International Airport and Florida Institute of Technology; three miles to the Indialantic beaches; 20 miles to Cocoa Beach and the original Ron Jon Surf Shop; close to all the engineering companies and less than a mile to Holmes Regional Medical Center and Wells Park
Attractions: 14 miles to the Brevard Zoo; 18 miles to the USSSA Space Coast Stadium; 25 miles to Port Canaveral; 47 miles to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex; two-hour drive to Disney, other Orlando theme parks and Daytona Beach
Getting Around:
Besides walking, biking and car, Space Coast Area Transit bus stops to the beaches and other downtown Melbourne areas are two blocks away. The Melbourne International Airport is just a short drive; both Uber and/or Lyft serve Melbourne and surrounding areas.
Other Things to Note:
A service fee and the required Brevard County resort/sales taxes are charged on top of the nightly rate. The exterior of the building is monitored by 24-hour surveillance – which we’ve never had to use – but adds an extra level of security. There is a train that runs through downtown Melbourne and can be heard in the late evening and early morning hours. A floor fan is available in the unit if white noise is needed for light sleepers. There are four one-bedroom units in the building; you may occasionally hear other guests. Although only a couple blocks from downtown, the street is residential, so please respect quiet hours. Off-street parking for one vehicle/unit behind the house is available. Beware, the archway over the driveway is narrow. A van or SUV is fine but please go very slowly under the archway; you may need to fold in the mirrors. Additional street parking for a second vehicle or larger trucks/vans is available on the other side of the street.
HOUSEKEEPING: Cleanliness has always been a top priority. Our housekeeping staff is trained to use the best hygiene practices focusing on sanitization, disinfection, and proven cleaning protocols at all times for the safety of our guests and employees.
Interaction with Guests:
Host is usually not onsite but available anytime to provide tips or recommendations to help you enjoy the best of Melbourne and the Space Coast.
