Wonderful location by a beautiful lake. Accommodations were great, especially the huge living room windows giving a constant view of the lake, which changed looks hour by hour.
A very clean, comfortable and well stocked place with a beautiful view on Bear Lake. We stayed here in October and the fall colors were stunning! Amy is a perfect host.
The condo was the absolute perfect location. You don’t cross any roads to get to the beach and you’re greeted with a big yard that leads right to the lake. The kayaks and paddle boat were a perfect treat for long days on the water.
We enjoyed our winter time on Bear Lake. The cottage was very nice and clean. Winter walks down Lakeshore Dr.
snow angels on the lake, memories with family.
Amy was also very helpful and pleasant if you have any questions or need anything.
This property is awesome. Everything is clean and ready for us. Great to have kayaks and a paddle boat for our use. We have stayed here several times. Never disappoints. My grandsons love the games they have available for us to play. Planning on staying again in the future.
Overall, the property was clean and well stocked for all of our needs. Easy access and parking. Due to the cold rainy weather, we couldn't enjoy the outdoor space, luckily the TV service was good and never went out from the weather. About 5 miles up the road there were outages, so we were grateful.
There were only two things that prevented a 5 star overall review. First was the house is not level, so there was a lot of crooked walking. I personally have vertigo, so it did set off stronger dizzy symptoms. Second issue was the resident mouse sightings in the kitchen. They don't really bother me, but I prefer not to share space with it.
Overall, nice space and well stocked.
It has been a delight to sit and watch the many moods of beautiful Bear Lake as it transitions from Summer into Fall. As promised, we enjoyed fabulous sunsets and calm quiet mornings. With just a hint of Fall in the air, most of our lake time was spent wading in the warmer shallow waters of the east shore and sitting on the dock with our feet in the water. We grilled outside several times and enjoyed dining alfresco on the deck.
Now, as we prepare, to depart it is a chilly, and slightly gray morning. The hint of sunshine on the north shore is highlighting the beginning of some truly beautiful Fall color. This is a great location for water sports or leaf gazing … plenty of both to be had. And for us, close to family and friends.
The cottage had everything we needed, and Amy was an excellent host responding very quickly to answer any questions we had. Thank you you for sharing your home with us.
Perfect lakeside cabin for summer family traditions
We loved our stay as always, and really appreciate this fun lakeside cabin on an excellent swimming beach for kids and adults. And the sunset views are also amazing!
We rented this cozy house between Christmas and New Year’s to experience Michigan in the snow. Thankfully the snow arrived while we slept the first night. We took a couple trips to Traverse City for snow tubing and a movie and a skied at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville. The house includes a few nice games and a couple of binders with restaurant suggestions and tourist highlights for the region.
The house sleeps 7, but the kitchen table seats 6 and the living room “comfortably” seats 4. Dining room chairs offer additional seating, but not for any length of time. If visiting during nice outdoor weather, the deck overlooking the lake would be an ideal hangout for larger families. Plus the availability of kayaks and the pier. The living room is a lower level than the main floor, so if 2 small steps or sloping floors may cause balance issues, I would not recommend this home.
No security deposit was required and it worked fine for our older family and plans for the week.
For the third year in a row our family really enjoyed this lovely lakeside home as our annual summer vacation. The house is perfectly equipped for a great week, very clean, and you will not find a better location on Bear Lake!
