This 150 sqm, fully renovated traditional Cycladic House offers everything for a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Although it is fully renovated, the traditional characteristics were kept the same. The uneven walls and windows, the wooden floors and high ceilings, the traditional furniture, the traditional front veranda and the backyard will give the guest an idea of how the houses were build a century ago.

Its ideal location is the best you can find in Andros. Located at the picturesque port, provides with the advantage that you do not have to rent a car, or use the local shuttle when you arrive. You just pick your suitcases from the ferry and walk in the house. Furthermore, all the local amenities (restaurants, cafeterias, supermarket, pharmacy, bank) are less than a minute away.

During the day, you can relax and gossip in the front 60 sqm veranda, while in the night you can turn on the A/C and ceiling fans, for the best sleep you can get. The front veranda has the local reputation of ‘’The best veranda in Gavrion’’. The newly installed windows use all the latest technology and are heat proof and can deflect UV rays. They also have an incline system and mesh panels.

The front, private 60sqm veranda is the highlight of the house and the best place in Gavrion. It is fitted with a 25 sqm pergola, so as you can relax without the hassle of sun, a dining table for 6 people, a luxurious swing couch and a deluxe sun lounger. This is the best place to relax watching the splendid seaview. You can also have a barbeque (all equipment is provided). The backyard with its sunshade, provides with a large space to relax when not in the mood of seating in the front veranda and also gives direct access to the local traditional alleys of a Greek Island.

There are two bedrooms, both with queen beds, a living room with a large sofa bed, a fireplace and a dining room, a kitchen and the bathroom. All suitcases and clothes can literally be fitted in the 6 sqm wardrobe.

The view of the port, the mountain of Gavrion and the small fishing boats departing in the sunset is stunning.

The kitchen has all the equipment if in the mood for cooking.

The beautiful beaches of Agios Petros, Golden Sand and Kypri are 15-20 minutes by foot or 4 minutes by car. The starting and last point of the local shuttle is located across the house and it stops in every single beach from Gavrion to Mpatsi, or it can transfer you to the city of Andros. There is also a car rental and taxi service in the same area.

The house can easily accommodate a family with 1-4 children, two couples or 5-6 adults.

Andros does not have an airport, so you will need to land at the Athens airport (El. Venizelos). From there it is a 25mins drive to Rafina Port where the ferry to Andros Island will take you in just less than 2hours.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful and well equipped apartment.

We stayed for six days in this apartment in April 24 after having visited Athens. The apartment this beautifully presented and is extremely well equipped. The roof terrace is a lovely space to watch the world go by in the sunshine and we liked the collection of restaurants available in Gavrio all within walking distance. There’s a supermarket a couple of doors down. We wanted for nothing. Denise, the owner, is very caring and was on hand to help with whatever we needed and met us off the ferry to show us round the property. We found Andros to be like Greece used to be - it was authentic, quiet and not overly touristy. Thoroughly recommended. Would stay again.

Fabulous!

We spent a fabulous month in this beautiful apartment. Centrally located opposite the ferry port, it’s perfect for a bit of people watching interspersed with complete silence. There is a good choice of restaurants and cafes, as well as two bakeries and a well stocked supermarket on the doorstep. The views from the huge verandah, where we spent most of our time, are spectacular. The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished, perfectly clean and very well equipped. The owner is very helpful and responsive to online queries. His mother is on hand to take care of the apartment and assist during the stay. She is a delightful lady who speaks excellent English. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure we had everything we needed, bringing us fresh fruit and eggs throughout our stay. We hope to be able to return next year to this gorgeous place. Thank you Stamatis and Denise for sharing your beautiful apartment with us and helping us create unforgettable memories

Well located property by ferry port

This property has a stunning veranda and views over the port. Owner's mother was there to meet my husband and I from the ferry and was very helpful. Fresh eggs, olive oil, savoury and sweet biscuits, small packs of butter, jams and honey etc. were all provided. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We were even provided with a fresh change of towels midweek. The weather was variable during our stay but it's easy to hire a car (several car hire companies) and explore the island. Supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops, tavernas and 2 bakeries are all within easy walking distance. All in all, we found this a good place to stay.

A wonderful apartment with the best view

In this apartment there is everything and more that You need. We stayed 5 adults very comfortable. The balcony is the best ever with a wonderful view over the sea and the harbour. Very nice and helpful owner.

Wirklich mitten im griechischen Leben

Wir haben die Woche bei Stamatis sehr genossen: Herzliches Willkommen durch Stamatis Mutter, die sich sehr aufmerksam um uns kümmerte, sehr schöne und großzügige Wohnung mit einem Balkon, der zu abendlicher Entspannung einlud und tagsüber genug Schatten bot... Nous étions un groupe de 6 adultes -Denise nous a accueilli sur le quai et parle anglais - on voit le port de la grande terrasse donc logement vraiment bien situé - propriétaires très accommodantes et sympathiques - Tout est formidable: le village, toute l'île avec ses paysages -location de voitures et restaurants, boulangeries à côté - Eirini nous a donné de très bons conseils à ce sujet et pour les visites touristiques -elle a vraiment pris le temps de correspondre avec nous par what's happ -Qu'une très grande envie d'y retourner -

L'appartement est situé au premier étage juste en face de l'arrivée des ferries. Nous avons adoré le spectacle des ferries depuis la grande terrasse ! L'appartement est très bien équipé (jusqu'à la veilleuse dans le couloir pour la nuit) et décoré avec beaucoup de soin. L'accueil des propriétaires est vraiment chaleureux. Sur le port on trouve tout le necessaire: supérette, banque, pharmacie, boulangerie,nombreuses tavernes, restaurants , location de voitures... C'est vraiment une très belle location!

Oh wie schön ist Panama - oder eben die "Veranda von Gavrion"

Herzlichen Dank - wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und uns sooooo wohlgefühlt. Wir - das ist eine Familie mit 4 Kindern (2,4,9,14 Jahre) und es hat allen gefallen. Die Wohnung ist auf höchten Niveau und voll ausgestattet. Du läufst einfach vom Hafen rüber zur Wohnung - perfekt. Ich glaube der Taxistand ist weiter zu laufen. Für den ganzen Aufenthalt haben wir kein Auto gebraucht und auch nicht vermisst. Wir sind herzlich empfangen worden und auch während unserem Aufenthaltes hatten wir immer einen hilfreichen Ansprechpartner. Wenn wir es irgendwie einrichten können kommen wir wieder - wir hatten schon so viele Ferienwohnung - doch diese ist bis jetzt unereicht. :-)

Paradise in Andros

I had a wonderful time staying here. It has a perfect location directly across from the port where the ferry arrives. Rena's mom was there to greet me as soon as I got off. She truly made me feel at home (there was a ball of fruit and water in the apt waiting for me what a treat).. The apt is super spacious with an incredible veranda..... I had breakfast there ever morning. The location is spot on. Walking distance from bars (I watch the world cup there), restaurants, and the beach (about 20 mins but worth it if you want to explore the island). Everyone was very communicative and really made me feel welcome. I've been using VRBO for almost 10 years and I have to say this was my best stay. I can't wait to go back!

Amazing house with great view and duper hosts!

There are too many great things to say about our experience with this place (we would give it more stars if that was an option)! Firstly, his family’s hospitality was incredible. We were welcomed by his wonderful mother who gave us a tour of his spectacular and rustic place. She had wonderful amenities and fresh fruit, juice and everything else we needed waiting for us! The place is very very spacious, luxurious, and absolutely immaculate. They have thought of absolutely everything that a traveller would need (even Netflix, which was such a nice and relaxing thing when you have been travelling for over a month and just want to chill out on some evenings before bed). When we had questions about museums and car rentals, etc, the hosts would respond immediately and would even call the museums to ensure they were open and gather other information. We truly hope you reading this will rent this absolute gem of a place—-the experience is phenomenal and you will not regret it!!! Plus, you really are less than one minute away from the ferry—- it’s ridiculously cool! The best thing about this place is the huge veranda with view of the entire port where you can relax and see the beautiful sunrise and sunset! This place is definetly a gem!

Very nice house in a great location!

This house had everything we needed for our stay in Andros island and was located in the port of Andros. The lounge was very well furnished, beds were so comfortable. The place was very clean, beautifully decorated with tons of amenities and again I have to say that the location was awesome! Eirini was a wonderful host and was responsive to any questions we had and extremely flexible with our schedule. We highly recommended for your vacations!

Relaxing and convenient. Excellent view

We had a fantastic holiday in Eirini’s place. The house is located in the port of Andros. The veranda is WOW. It is huge, extremely relaxing, quiet and with an excellent view of the port, sea and mountains. The house has its own personal character that we liked very much. We have two kids and they had a huge space to play (the veranda and the backyard). The house is located at the promenade of Gavrion and has all the local amenities close by. It is very convenient as we could take our children for a walk or for food at any time. The beaches are 5 minutes by car. Denis met us at the harbor and she was very helpful in helping us in everything we needed. We met Eirini on our way back. She is a charming person who does all she can to make the stay as smooth and pleasurable as possible. We highly recommend the place: We've rented many places in Greece and this has been our best experience so far.
